I'm writing a paper on Lost and trying to get all the writers' takes on my topic. For my American Diversity class I have to use a theory (I picked Edward Said's Otherization) and apply it to something. I was wondering about your take on the way characters form groups and divisions.
For example, Jin used the language barrier as an excuse not to associate with anyone but Sun. Jack tells only certain people important information, and refers to anyone who doesn't know as "the others". The survivors have also split in that some live at the caves and some live on the beach. Any and all thoughts appreciated!
