ditch everyone's backstories that we've already seen excepting maybe desmond (pushing it, since catch-22 was pretty boring, though not totally unnecessary), juliet (since she knows more than she's letting on), and ben (of course). i have a feeling that this isn't going to happen, but i got fed up with jack whining about his wife and kate running from the law a good season ago.

I voted for Alex, because I think it would explain so much as far as Dainelle and what happened to her when she arrived on the island and why Alex calls Ben, Dad...

However in retrospect, it is probably a tie with Jacob's backstory. Both are extremely thought-provoking and I am interested in each of these stories.

Danielle is probably one of the most underutilized characters in the show...they introduced her as this bad-*** survivor...toyed with us about her being drawn to the island by the numbers and also about her killing off her friends because of some virus...then theres her daughter too...I cant understand why they havnt fleshed out her backstory yet because IMO it could be one of the best and most revealing about the island. I guess the main storyline was headed in a different direction then Danielle could have taken it but I really hope in the upcoming seasons they touch on Danielles backstory. Im guessing she will have crossed paths with Desmond at some point...maybe even Mikhail...

Rousseau's backstory is something that's been a loooooong time coming, and the wait for season 4 is going to drive me crazy! Another that I want really badly is Libby's. I'm kind of curious about Cindy, but I'm honestly not sure she'll ever get much of a backstory. Wasn't the actress originally hired as just an extra for the pilot episode?

I voted for Richard, but I really think Danielle's is going to be cool as well. I wonder if any of the extras currently on the show will be upgraded to star-status next year. I guess Naomi probably will, but there'll probably be one or 2 more, but like I said we might not know them yet...

I am dying to find out more about Richard. Like why hasn't he aged, how did he get on the island, why is he under Ben in rank, why is he always so well dressed...etc. I find him absolutely fascinating.

I voted for Danielle; we've known her since season 1 but still know very little about her and that needs to be remedied next season, sooner rather than later too. I definitely think she knows more than she's so far revealed. Having said that, I'd love to know more about Richard's backstory too. What's his secret and can I buy it in Selfridges? It's darn good whatever it is! He's obviously important to the overall story in some way so I look forward to finding out more.

I am definitely most anxious to hear Danielle's backstory and see what has gone on with her during her time on the island, where she disappears to, and what does she know that she isn't telling us. She is one of the most interesting characters due to the mystery that has been looming over her since her first appearance in season 1. I am definitely most anxious to see her backstory.

Yeah, to be honest when I heard we'd be getting less flashbacks from our original group I was upset, but to hell with that! Haha.

I'm so much more interested in our new cast.

Please get flashbacks from the Others.

1. Alpert: One of my favorite characters on the show, and he's only been in 5 episodes or so. So interesting, we NEED to get a flashback from Richard.

2. Mikhail: Such a fantastic new character- full of mystery. He seems like a true vllian, there's really no true way to put his character into words. He's patchy.

3. Jacob: Of course, there's nothing to say other than it would be amazing.

4. Danielle: I NEED to see what happened to her shipwreck, how and why she killed her team, how she survived all alone and how the Others took her baby.

Jacob's backstory would be interesting without any doubt, but probably would reveal way too much, so I don't expect to see that anytime soon. So, instead I'd go with Danielle (as has been pointed out already, it's her we've known for the longest time, but know very little about), Richard (would be interesting to see if he's really an original inhabitant of the Island, why he - apparently - doesn't age and how/why he can leave the Island... but that might give away too much as well), Mikhail
(what he did in Afghanistan, if he really was a member of the Dharma Initiative or brought onto the Island by Ben/the Hostiles and why even his fellow Others seem to enjoy seeing him getting beaten up), the tail section survivors taken by the Others (I can't imagine Cindy's backstory being worth an episode of her own, but after all there was a total of 12 tailsection survivors taken by the Others besides Cindy, including Zack & Emma, so that might make for an interesting on-Island flashback ep. à la "The Other 48 Days")... but basically I'm looking forward to every backstory, as long as we don't have to endure any more Jack or Kate flashbacks.

I would have voted for Danielle, becuase I'm really interested in her character and her time on the island. But somehow I get the impression that her story would be really boring. I mean, she's been on the island for 16 years and she'd never before seen one of the others?! What's she been doing this whole time? Then again, maybe that's why we need a flashback... hummm oh well, I went with Alex so that's close enough anyway. She's an interesting girl herself and I'd love to see more of this rebellious side she's got.

Danielle gets my vote. There are just too many questions that have been around for so long concerning her. Plus she's pretty badass.

1st flashback: One of her in France, living a great life with her husband. They're expecting a baby.

2nd flashback: On the boat, rocking and shifting. We see something new, a new reveal as they head closer to the island.

3rd flashback: They are on the island, worried, setting up camp, and they find something we havent seen yet (Like the 4-toed statue)

4th flashback: They start getting the sickness, Danielle kills them all

5th flashback: Danielle loses her newborn baby to the Others. She cries and wants to die.


The next time we see her flashback it would tell more stuff, and reveal what she did for the LAST 16 years.

That's how I see it, at least :)

Richard... pre-Ben

The only backstory that I really wouldn't be interested to see is Cindy's. The only thing I'd like to know about her would include all the other tailies and what the Others did to them to have them be so brainwashed.

I voted for Michail, but I'd love to see Danielle's, Richard's, and Alex's. Of course knowing more about Jacob would be great, but I don't see that happening any time soon.

Definitely Danielle, because she's been around since season 1 and it's a long time coming. I'd love to see Richard too. Jacob not so much (yet) because I want to find out who he is first.

Really, she's hardly been on yet. Well I have to admit I fell in love with Des right away so I actually kind of understand. Although he didn't become my favorite character, that honor still belongs to Locke!!

Danielle by far. I agree that her back story has been long in coming. I'd really like to see 'pre-island' or at least concerning how she got there in the first place.

Richard's back story would be interesting too, pre Ben.

I voted Richard, but it's really a tie with Danielle for me. I'm so curious though about Richard's past, just how far back he goes... the Black Rock? An island native? Reminds me of "Tuck Everlasting" a bit-- he could be really, really old.

I want to see the 3 different sides of Libby joined up - in the asylum (apparently mad), giving Desmond the boat, and then on the plane/island. Perplexing to say the least.

But I voted Alex because I doubt that we'll get another Ben Flashback anytime soon, and I don't really think we know anything yet about him - there's plenty more to come. So having an Alex flashback might be interesting and revealing about them both.

I THINK THE "HOSTILES" BACKSTORY WOULD BE THE BEST. THAT WOULD INCLUDE RICHARD, AND GIVE US A IDEA OF HOW "THE OTHERS" REALLY ARE.
