Yet again another character that has history i dont know if this has been done (forgive me if it has) but i thought i would check out our indestructable russian on the net.

wooo Mikhail = my new favorite other? I mean an indestructible one-eyed Russian badass. Sure he got beat up by Locke, but hey, Mikhail will get his chance with Locke :biggrin:

Mikhail is cool. :21: I find it interesting that the real Mikhail Bakunin was violently opposed to any sort of innately superior ruling class and rejected all forms of governing systems, but Mikhail on Lost has been described as a "loyalist" and seems to follow orders with small hesitation.

As much as I like the character, I hope he's dead now. It sounds silly to say with everything else going on in Lost, but the fact that Mikhail was STILL ALIVE after being shot with a spear gun at close range - not only alive, but able to SWIM out to the window and set off a grenade - killed my suspension of disbelief. He was a wonderful character, but IMHO, he should be strictly flashback fodder go forward.

It would be pretty knarly for him to survive that grenade...but who knows? maybe he has nine lives.

I dont like this character at all.

I like Mikhail too, but what i DONT understand ( besides how he never dies like Michael Myers or Jason Voorhees) is how if he was such a badass Russian soldier then how did Locke beat the crap out of him so easy??? This is Really bugging me!!!

Because, dude? Locke is such a badass bald guy. Seriously. Locke throws a mean punch. We all saw what happened to Charlie's face in "Fire + Water" after just a few punches. Locke is awesome.

Dude, cmon, Charlie aint NO Mikhail and Locke outweighed Charlie by about 30-40lbs; it wouldnt have been that hard for him to knock Charlie out. Now Mikhail is about the same size as Locke and younger, and besides, arent all those Russian special forces guys supposed to know Sambo or some other martial arts......???

I love Mikhail, his indestructableness is wicked and i really hope he's alive so we see him next series, i'd love to know more about his past aswell.

Also he put up a mean fight against Jin when he just came running out the jungle, maybe he let Locke kick his *** so the other people didn't start on him aswell, rather a bit of a kicking off one person than having the lot get ya.

Who knows i reckon there will be a bit of tension between them in the future though should be interesting.
