Is it just me...or am I the only one who thinks there's a chance Michael may never return. I indeed, want him to be back, he was a great character and his return would have a huge impact on the show. For some reason, I just feel we will never see him again. Just my opinion of course. Anyone find any articles or something confirming he will be back sometime on the future?

Sorry, but I totally disagree. If I NEVER see him again it will be too soon. He was a murdering, whining, "sissy man" who had played out his character. Walt on the other hand is most welcomed. ;)

I don't have to LIKE Michael to want to see his story resolved!

If Michael doesn't pop up in the flash forwards, then the writers have missed the opportunity for some great conflict. I'm really interested to see what he's been up to since his island days... and how he'll react to everyone else (who's still alive) coming back.

p.s.- I'm still thinking that Michael is our mystery coffin man... and that he might have changed his name.

I, for one, really never cared anything about Michael nor his story. He is, in fact, the only character on LOST that I truly could not stand. I can go the rest of my life and never hear "Walt...Walt!!" ever again. If they want to do a FF with him in a coffin, that I can do. I honestly do not care what happened to him or Walt. I like the actor that plays Michael, but not the character.

What Michael went to to save his boy might be unforgiveable, but I for one, am extremely interested in Michael's missing storyline for season three. Where did he and Walt end up going with the boat? Who(m) did they encounter? Is that really Walt with him? Was Michael still wearing that watch Jin gave him, and does it carry any significance? So many questions, so many possibilities...

How many people on this forumare parents? I find it interesting that very few people can relate or understand what it is like to be a parent and a flawed human being at the same time. Do we condemn Michael because he was willing to do anything to save his son or keep the latter safe? Do so many people fail to understand how ruthless parents can be when it comes to their children? It is interesting that the one character who has a child of at least ten, should either garner so much hatred or lack of understanding.

Is it because most of the members on this forum are too young to have children or simply don't have any?

Too young, don't have any and for the most part, don't care.
Harold should've been nominated for an Emmy for his performance in season two. He pulled off the desperate parent role incredibly well.
I suspect that the majority of Fuselagers, particularly the younger ones, are probably more interested in Kate's romantic triangle and Sawyer's/Jack's/Desmond's shirtless scenes than in the acting ability of any one character on the show.

That's sad.

I am not a parent but I have talked to fans who are parents and they all could not stand Michael (especially his incessant screaming of his kids name). They claim that while they love their kid, their respect for humanity and their morals tell them that no matter the circumstance there never is a time to kill. Not even for their children. Does that mean they are bad people? Heck no, quite the opposite is true. How will Walt ever be able to understand that his father killed to innocent women just to get him back. If my dad did that to get me back, I would never speak to him again. I know many who would vouch for me on this issue.
I think though for many of us Michael haters it really isn't his flawed character that makes us dislike him so...b/c I hated the man in season one from the first time I ever laid eyes on him and heard him scream "WAAAAALLLTT" and "Where's my boy" a hundred times an episode. He just is an annoying character. And yes I agree Harold Perrineau should have gotten an emmy nod b/c he did play the over bearing annoying guy (ever show usually has one) so well. He is a very talented actor in all honesty.

I used to be okay with the character of Michael. He was never my favorite Lostie, but I could understand the difficulties he was going through when Walt was suddenly thrust back into his world, and he wasn't exactly prepared to deal with it. Season 1 where he was building the raft and making friends with Jin etc were my favorite Michael moments.

I think Harold does play the desperate parent well, but I was so, so sick of hearing Michael run around screaming "Walt! Walt!" all the time by the end. I was/am hoping to see a different side/dimension to the character. It would do more justice to the actor's talent.

he did scream Walt one too many times didn't he?!!! I think Harold is a fantastic actor, and can't wait for the moment that he may return. I would like to learn more about his character other than the fact that he's Walt's father. I don't see how Michael can return without Walt though. So I think either both will be back or neither.
