Since our lovely jme has recently changed her hair color and it brought this age old question to mind. Now, I think Emilie de Ravin is the best looking girl on the face of the Earth, but normally I'm a SUCKER for Brunette's. How about you guys (and gilrs)?

I, personally, like to see girls with higlights but I guess I'ma sucker for blond guys.

Yea, I saw a brunette girl with blonde streaks and I almost walked into a telephone pole while looking at her. That would havebeen the worst first impression ever...or close to it

Female view - I tend to go for brunettes, am one also, I tend to go for the whole person regardless of hair (or lack there of) :laugh:

Very true there is a lot more to finding someone attractive. Great eyes to compliment a beautiful smile seem to make my knee's jello, I have a friend that has to date red heads. It's his thing. Just curious to see what hair color people go for.

for me really, it doesn't matter. If you have the right stuff, hair color doesn't matter. I go for, eyes, smile/teeth, hands and ears. I am so odd. hehe!! Naturally I am a dark burnette, but recently went way red and now I am going to put some blond highlights in. hehe!! Yeah!!

I just went from super light blonde(claire's color) to a dark blonde....I love my blonde hair and I wanted a little change, but couldn't go any darker than I am right now! It tends to turn a reddish color in the sun, which I find hott!!! But as far as men's haircolor...I don't care! I'd rather see their huge giant muscles! And they have to have great eyes and smiles....that's the meltfactor!

Hmmm. Now see, this was always a toughie for me to answer. I think I'm a guy who doesn't really have a "type", per se, but I've found that I gravitate more toward brunettes. At least of all the women I usually find attractive, the highest percentage have been the dark-haired ones. That said, I still find other features that draw me in, as others are saying - smile, facial features, and most especially, the eyes. A woman's eyes are what strike me first and have the biggest impact, usually. And that counts for brunettes, blondes, redheads, or any other color combination. I just love women - of all kinds, hehehe... ;D

Dude, redheads are rockin' the vote. As a natural redhead I am pleasantly surprised. I feel like we always get overlooked in the blonde vs. brunette debate.

As for me, I tend it gravitate to brunette guys but hair color isn't really a priority for me.

I like BLOND men. Always have. Tall dark and handsome is nice to look at and all that but there was never that 'spark' of attraction for me.

Gentlemen don't always prefer blondes.

Female perspective: I love a man with dark hair and light eyes. Always have and probibly always will. The biggest that get to me though is a man's smile. If he has a killer smile then that negates everything else.

Female view: I tend to look at the whole person not just the hair colour. How he dresses, speaks, manners, sense of humour. Beauty is only skin deep like they say. Some good looking people I've met throughout my life were often a disapointment. (stupid or plain boring). I consider myself an intellectual so I want someone with brains not just beauty.

So out of the Lost cast, I find Sawyer, Sayid and Locke sexy and good looking. I have a tendency to go for older men. Like Sean Connery. He may be close to 70 but he still has that sex appeal! Not too mention that accent of his is soooo sexy. Another thing I love British,Scottish accents. I don't care too much for the southern US accent but for some reason I don't mind hearing it when Sawyer is speaking. I guess it's growing on me:)

Well, let me tell you how interesting this hair color change has been.

I polled all of you guys via my web page and none of you have ever met me but you all preferred me as a brunette.

I polled all my friends and family who have known me for years and they all prefer me as a blonde.

I don't really know what that means, but I think it's interesting. So, I guess it is ultimately up to me to decide. Maybe after reading the results of this thread, I'll become a redhead. ;D

I usually go for guys with darker hair color, brown or black...but I like all types as well. Since my man (Johnny Depp) is a brunette, I chose that one :P

Wow--I'm excited to hear that some guys look at various features, like eyes and smiles--a lot of guys I know don't look at faces or hair color at all...they tend to look a bit farther south... :laugh:

I generally go for tall, dark and handsome. But, I do have a major soft spot for guys with blond hair and a good tan. And I always go for a great smile. And nice arms. And a foreign accent. Ok I'm getting carried away...I need to stop. ;)

For me, personality totally affects how someone looks. If you meet someone and they are great looking but have horrible personalities, they no longer look as good. But if someone is sort-of average looking but is really funny or interesting, the person suddenly becomes much better looking to me. I think (and hope!) that's true for a lot of people.
