In ATBCHDI as Locke and Boone approached The Hatch...Locke seemed to be 'feeling' something in the air. What? Positive electrodes eminating from the Hatch?

Is it too much to think he either knew the Hatch was there...or was being 'drawn' to it in some way?

I noticed that comment too this time around. At first I thought it was like something was magnetic and perhaps he was more perceptive of the effect on his body. Some have theorized the black rock is magnetic. Or that the entire island has strongly magnetized (explaining the compass being off). But this was when he was near the hatch. So, as usual....I'm clueless!
