I was just curious what some of your New Year's Resolutions were?

I haven't come up with one yet, maybe I'll get an idea from someone here.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

My resolution is to cherish the friends I have, welcome those I have yet to meet, and remember those who are gone.

To embrace patience and seize opportunity; to transcend assumption and allow time the benefit of its natural duration. To remain altruistic and rebuke narccissim; true charity does not serve an adjenda. To forgive and forget without losing a lesson to be learned. To be more compassionate and open minded; the world is flavoured by different points of view and perespective.

To spend more time doing the things I love to do; working, travelling, playing...and most importantly watching Lost! j/k, lol

Happy New Year You All Everybody...I hope 2008 gives you everything you want and deserve from Life!

Wow! That's a great resolution. I'm stuck on what mine should be. There's the usual - diet, quit smoking, exercise more, blah blah blah - you know the one's I'd break on January 2!

So I need to keep thinking.

Thanks. Take care and I wish you luck in your resolve!

Hehe, yeah..I was gonna stick with the usual "Try to stay sane this year"...then I decided to go with "Try as many new foods as possible"...in short, eat whatever I can find. :) Nobody trusts a skinny baker anyway, haha!

And..whoa..DrUrbino..that is one awesome resolution...whoa!

Yea, that resolution is going to be hard to top. I still haven't come up with one, which is good because it means I haven't broken one either! :)

Hmmmmmm?????

One of my "resolutions" is actually to spend more time on The Fuselage, lol. I haven't been on a lot lately, and I really miss it! Hopefully once season 4 starts, the board will pick up again and there will be tons more to discuss!

Besides that, I plan to drink more water/less soda in 2008.

My are pretty typical:

1) Diet and and excersize more consistantly. --I've lost 40 lbs over the last two years (nearly all of the weight from my 3 pregnancies) but I'd still like to lose another 40.

2) Get more organized at home and with my daily schedule.

4) Make more of an effort to do more things with my kids individually.

5) Make more of an effort to invite my kids friends over on a regular basis.

6) Get my family involved in church on a regular basis.

I few years ago I gave up gossiping as a resolution. If has taken a few years for me to get out of the habbit, and I have lost a few friends along the way as a result, but overall it has made me a much happier and much more postive person.

I never really come up with anything good. I do want to eat more fruits and vegetables. I think I eat an alright diet, but I know its lacking in the fruits and veggies area as I don't really care for them! I also need to drink MORE water, and LESS milk (oh dear, how I guzzle and guzzle the stuff- my weakness! Oh well, at least I'll probably never get osteoporosis... and uhh... I have nice fingernails.) I already exercise a lot, so that area is covered. This definitely seems to be the prime time for fitness, when I went to the gym on new years eve day there were about two people total there, and yesterday it was PACKED!

My other one is to start painting again on a regular basis. Oh lordy, I owe, yikes, 3 people paintings now that I haven't even started and was supposed to have finished before Christmas.:eek2: Oh well... two are family members, so its sort of okay.

1.) Clean my dorm room at school. This is a disturbingly difficult task for me.
2.) Upon my arrival back at school, get rid of clothes that no longer fit or that I just don't wear anymore. (Just being home, I was able to get rid of four pairs of shoes. That's kinda sad.)
3.) Stop procrastinating!
4.) Run the mile in under seven minutes.

Thank you very much....good luck with yours when you decide, I think any reslolution and a desire improve or change is a good one....even though they are tough to keep sometimes. One can only try and start again if needed. :)

lol, thanks...I might join you in the trying as many new foods as possible resolution. I actually had a Scotch Egg for the first time last night and it was dang good.

...actually all the resolutions above are good. I might have to add a few to my list later. :)

Happy New Year Everyone...woot less then a month until the new Lost!

Oh, I like that one. Although, I'm pretty bold as it is. But I could work on my relationship with God. Okay, so now I have one. I try to make 2 or 3.

Thanks for sharing all these great ideas.

I want to practice better mental health. Instead of getting overwhelmed in a situation, I want to do some deep breathing and understand that I should not worry about what happens. That is a problem I have faced in the past and it is time to overcome it I suppose. :)

I also want to learn how to cook. Next fall I will [hopefully] be out on my own and I do NOT plan on living on TV dinners, lol.

Learning to cook is hard, and I will warn you now that it is really tough to buy produce for just one person because it rots before you get to eat it all. But you should definitely try and learn--I don't know if you're planning on college, but at my school the food is grotesque and the dining hall that's open on weekends is about a mile from my dorm so my friends and I cook a lot. A much better alternative indeed.

T.V. Dinners and Ramen noodles got me through many "broke" and sad days! Cooking can be fun though so I wish you luck with that. (However, those t.v. dinners come in handy on late nights when you are too tired to do a damn thing, so keep them around just in case!)

Have fun.

Yeah, I am planning on going to college (although I haven't applied to a single one yet, and my time is seriously running out... I'm in the process, though). I am going to have to check all of that stuff out before I make my final decision, too. But I'd rather cook for myself than have to eat the school stuff anyhow.

Haha, I don't have anything against TV dinners, of course. Some of them are pretty good! I suppose you do make a good point about the cheapness, too, lol, especially for someone in college (that's the part I'm NOT looking forward to... Mom and Dad won't be paying for all my stuff anymore! ;) ) But I do like cooking, I just stink at it, so hopefully I can improve on that.

I know a lot of college students resort to fast food all the time, which will probably be tempting, so I'd better watch myself. Haha.

Doesn't the fast food also lead to the "freshman 15?" Be careful!! :)
