Just a thought
Its more likely they are really home...however, when charlie said he was dead..."but Im here" and Hurley was able to make things appear and disappear(Jacobs cabin)--and these phenomenons are only seen on the Island so far---it made me think that they never got off the island in the first place.
The HO in horse, sculpture, and ho-ho's = 815
There were also other clues that the island was present in this supposed real world--like the blackboard in the mental institution.
Its more likely that the 6 brought with them some of the properties of the island with them to the real world but it would be interesting if they never left and are generating their desires of being home through the visual powers of the island.

Obviously, the secret is that the 6 never mentioned the Island--thats why the cop asks if Hurley knew Anna from the airport or on the plane---not the island
No one knows about the island but them
Naomi did NOT know she was with bad people..that was always clear by her behavoir...she had plenty of chances to run away with that phone and even asked jacks permission to use it when she got the signal. She did not lie about Penny....she simply was going by what she was told.
This shows There will be others on the boat unaware fo the real mission as well

He has taken the step of commiting murder to make sure Locke doesnt continue to keep them on the Island. Simply put...he has lost it
