Julia

O.K., new poster here deciding to delurk (<-- is that a word??). I found this board a few days ago, and I love it. The show is great. I don’t watch a lot of TV, but I make time for this show. I’ve seen all but one episode.
Personal stuff: My name is Julia, but my friends call me Jules. I’m 32, currently single, a forensic accountant (no, it’s not as boring as it sounds!) and a part-time martial arts/self-defense instructor. I’m also a closet writer. I’ve had some literary short fiction published here and there, and I’ve got a couple of psychological horror stories in submissions.
Lost-related stuff (and probably some odd insights into my psyche – or should that be insights into my odd psyche. LOL!):
Favorite episode – Oh, how to pick… Probably Solitary (golf!! priceless) or House of the Rising Sun.
Least favorite episode – Have to say Confidence Man because the fourth (?) act was uncomfortable for me to watch. It was well-written and well-acted but watching the “lose an eye”/arm sliced open stuff, frankly, made my stomach hurt – a strictly visceral reaction because two months ago, I had a run-in with a friend’s physically abusive %$#*&# of an ex-boyfriend, who threatened me with a knife because I helped her move out of his house. Anyway, even pretend knife-related violence hits a little too close to home right now.
Favorite characters: Call me a sucker for good-looking alpha males – Jack, Sayid, Sawyer – and all three of these characters have got layers.
Least favorite character:* Boone. He hasn’t done anything obviously significant yet, has he?
Anyway, if you’re still reading this rambling (oops, and long! sorry…) post, thanks. I have a rather hectic life and can’t say I’m going to spend a ton of time on here, but I look forward to getting to know you guys better and to discussing the show.
