Ok, so i've been thinking up some things about Micheal and decided to post a thread to show what i think, is a plausable theory.

I think Micheal is on the Freighter, he was sent off on the boat that Ben gave him, given instructions that we didnt see to follow the co-ordinates that would lead to the freighter and report back to Ben. Micheal would do this because he would do anything for Walt. This would also explain how Walt (if that was actually Walt) knew to tell Locke that these people were bad.

I think Micheal is also in the coffin that we saw in the flash forward in Through the Looking Glass, due to the newspaper saying it was a man from New York with a teenage son, and this would explain why no one would really want to go to his funeral with him working with Ben against the freighter people.

Interesting. I didn't know the article had said that (I'm out of touch, I know). That certainly makes sense considering everything. I always thought it was Ben before, but I like the idea of it being Michael as well.

I also agree with you that Michael is Ben's 'spy'. We know the others can come and go from the island (or some of them anyway) so it makes perfect sense that one of them could have tracked down Michael. They probably threatened to blackmail him or something. Good thoughts!

Jack did. And considering Sayid's view of the freighter people in his flashforward, why would he be upset over Michael working against them? Especially since he ended up nearly doing the same . . . except that he worked with Ben against the freighter people's boss?
