Could Mikowski really be Michael?? I think that Michael could be Ben's mole on the boat and Michael gave them a different name. Harold Perrineau's name was on the opening credits of the 1st episode and maybe that's because they were giving him credit for the use of his voice as Minkowski. It would also explain Walt's knowledge and warning to Locke?

If it is Michael, it then makes me believe it is Michael in the coffin because that would give Kate even more reason to hate him and not want to go to his funeral.

No. The voice is completely different. I do think Michael is on the boat though, that he's Ben's spy.

The voices are off, but I suppose it's possible that his voice could be disguised like Ben's was. I do think Michael is the man on the boat whether or not he is Minkowski.

I think Fisher Stevens does the voice of Minkowski. Watch the episode of Friends called "The One With The Boobies" from Season 1. His voice is the same as Phoebe's boyfriend's (I forgot his name, but everybody hates him) voice.

No, I think Kevin Johnson is Michael on the freighter.

Michael has to be on that freighter. How else did the landing team get the bearing to find the island? One other question: why a freighter of all the ships to sail on? Why not one of those huge research type looking ships like James Cameron used for that show he did on the Titanic? The use of a freighter is obviously to throw suspicion off them being out there in case it's seen by someone.

Totally agree that Michael is Bens man on the boat but he's not Minkowski, firstly- it seems that Minkcowski is a quite high ranked guy on the Freighter and Michael would have only been there for a few weeks or so!

Also as surferdervish mentioned, minkcowski has been credited to another actor. The only reason Harold was (and has been in all eps this season) credited is that we will be a season regular and regulars get credited in every ep, even is they're not in it! Crazy, I know! :D

Bottom line, a freighty wouldn't believe him if he said his name was Minkowski. -"Oh hey we never met you you before, you sound like you're from N.Y. yeah, let's make you in charge." ....NOT!
