I was surprised that there weren't many new threads/posts relating to the greatness that is Desmond and thought i would start a new one!! I really like Desmond and have done since he first appeared as a regular in Season 2, his devotion to Penny is so sweet and if i wasn't already a married woman, Desmond would be the kind of guy I would want to be married to!!

Desmond has been a favorite of mine since we first saw him in S2. I don't know if that is saying much, considering I have a lot of "favorite" characters on the show. :biggrin:

My thoughts on Des would be "Purr!" or maybe "mahomina homina homina" or sometimes I just fade out and start drooling like Homer Simpson thinking about donuts.
Yeah, he's a great character. I hope he doesn't get hurt on the boat. I really hope we get to see him stick to that rotten, lousy, no good Mr. Widmore.

Oh, and maybe it's the Italian in me, but I hope Des doesn't lose any more weight. He's been looking a little thin.

Lol!! I can't say I noticed he was looking a lil' scrawny, that must be the method actor in him, island life probably doesn't provide you with the most satisfying of meals!! How do I put my name onto the clan list if anybody is already a member, I'm new to all this!! x

Yeah, no more smoothies now that the hatch is gone. He doesn't look scrawny, but just thinner than when we first found him in the hatch. He looked fine doing those sit-ups if you ask me.

LOL, Madge< I totally agree with you on this.

Desmond is doing a lot of running in the show, and Ian had to take on some jogging and exercising beside the many outdoor activities that he was already doing being in Hawaii and all... So hence the weight-loss... nothing bad or unhealthy quite the contrary. ;)

I don't think Ian is doing any bowing. :biggrin: It is more like the fun of the Hawaii life (surfing, soccer etc) and the necessity to run like hell when they need him to LOL. And HIC definitely deserves a nomination for this. When he was on the freighter and yelling, "I don't know you!" I was so into it! There was just so much variety in his acting last night. Angry, confused, apologetic, desperate, in love, hopeful, thankful, on and on. Who else could pull off such a wide range of emotions in such a short 42 minutes?
