View Full Version : How Old (Young) Are We?

OK, I've been curious about this. I'm thinking that the majority of Ian's fangirls are...well...more like...fanWOMEN. :D I'm thinking the majority of us are over 40. So because inquiring minds need to know (and maybe Ian's curious about his demographics :D), here's a poll for you. Now, you don't have to identify YOUR specific age in the thread, just click on the choice and post any comments you want.

For the record, I'm over 40.

I am 30 and I could have chosen 20-30 or 30-40 since 30 was a possibility for both choices so naturally (wink wink), I chose 20-30.

Well, I personally feel '41 - 50' and a '51 or older' selections should added.

I like that idea. I live in Long Beach, NY. It is a beach bungalow community that is a stone's throw from NYC. Best of both worlds, ocean exactly 100 feet from my doorstep and the Big Apple a short trip away.

lostlocke, I just got "Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego" in my head. I don't know if anyone remembers that one. It was a game.

Haha, I think it's funny that I can feel oh so old and oh so young at the same time. I feel like I'm 20 because I'm all giggly and the such, but I feel so old when people talk about music and technology - oh, and when I get off work and my feet are killing me and when I'm in bed by 10. Hmmm... :undecide:

lostlocke
02-29-2008, 05:41 PM
yes I do remember Carmen Sandiego!! You said you were 25 right? We are the same age! That's not old, I feel giggly alot too and still feel like a teenager sometimes, only one with alot of responsibilities! I feel like a school girl when watching Lost and talking about Lost and my main men, Desmond, Locke and Sayid.

Let me tell you in college I had a huge crush on one of my Professors he was probably in his late 30s early 40s. He was just so smart and sophisticated. So I completely know where your coming from.

I think we share the afinity for the same men, for me being Desmond and Sayid. When ever both come out on Lost they have the power to turn me into a gigly little school girl.

Desmond certainly does attract a wide range of girls.

I think part of the attraction is his great love for Penny, his attempt at saving Charlie.

Oh, and then the accent. No matter what age you are, his accent is sexy. My boyfriend is from England and that was one of the things that I first was attracted to.

I think that this thread is proving that Desmond is a character that appeals to women of all ages, and women with good taste. ;)

What up Jersey? I was attracted to older guys at your age a well. My first huge crush as a teen was my math teacher. All the girls sat in the front row, we all loved him. lol.

Ha Ha Lealost, that's funny bringing up Perfect romance!! I remember that girl in his class. Peter:"Now, where was I?" Infatuated student:"Right there, with the sun in your hair"!!!
Ian is old for me, he's 15 years older than I am! Though he's not really old by any means. I only say I like "older men" because hardly anyone I like is within a 10 year age range of myself!
100%

Not to a 15 year old  . I think it is so awesome that Desmond attracts such a wide range for one serious reason. Over at the B-team forum we have been discussing the future of the B team and apparently

TPTB have stated that they are going to be concentrating only on the "fan-favorites", meaning JKSL. This is bad news for all other characters.

However, as long as Desmond continues to attract fans, from all different place, and with all different ages, maybe that statement will not affect his future.

I will not read that spoiler. As far as I know, everything is right with the world, right with Lost, and right with my HotScot. I will pretend that the spoiler reads, "Many more women will continue to be attracted to Desmond, thus shifting the space-time continuum in an attempt to all rescue him from the island." And that wiill account for the worry, as well. :)

That could definitely account for worry. Imagine all us women that love Desmond trying to travel through time to rescue our prince. The entire fabric of the time/ space continium would unravel. :eek2:

I am picturing a sky full of women flying around yelling at each other to get out of the way so they could locate Desmond.

I just wonder what are they thinking, when we just seen one of the best episodes in Lost history according to ALL fans, and there was no SKL and only scarce to nothing J. I mean, this was an ensemble cast show, right? Bummer? Try disaster.
