Okay, work with me here, so the auction has brought up more chatter about Jacob and Hanso, etc.

Jacob is maybe the captain of the black Rock (as has been discussed) or was at least on the Black Rock and is now on the island (I personally think the captain).

Biblically, Jacob was the great-great Grandfather of Aaron. I totally think that we've got a patriarchal thing going on here in the show. I think there is a line of relatedness:

Claire/Thomas (isn't that Aaron's dad's name?)

I really think Aaron is a direct descendant of Jacob, maybe one of the reasons he was able to be born on the island. And also in recent episodes we've seen Christian rocking in the chair at the cabin and things, maybe more than coincidance. I think Aaron's story is crucial to the plot of the whole series (which is more likely after last week's episode - assuming it is Claire's Aaron we're talking about - because after this week's episode who knows mabye Kate and Sawyer went back in time and had their own little baby Aaron:eek2:
