I don't think that Miles got the information about Kate from the manifest or anything like that.I think he used his powers. If he knew who was on the plane and who was who so well, then why did he not know that Juliet was not on the plane.

Kate came to Miles at either lunch or supper time and told him what information she was going to want. She then left and went back to the barracks, plotted how to break him out and went back in the late evening to get him. I think Miles had enough time to summon the spirit of the Marshal or even Wayne or Tom to get the information on her that he needed.

I just think it is strange that he would be able to memorize that much information about Kate, that under usual circumstances would be useless to him here. If his mission is to get Ben , then he should not have to memorize facts about Kate. I think he learned all that stuff from his ghost whispering.

I do think he could have been briefed on the freighter about Kate, and would have memorized it because he suspected her of killing Naomi. However I think Kate and Miles will end up having more scenes together, and since Kate seemed to be interested in what he was doing with Naomi's body, she might ask him something about what happened when Wayne seemingly possessed Sawyer and possibly the Marshal.

I like your theory Stacy.

I think it is possible that Miles contacted the dead to find out about Kate. I think alot of people would over look it and not realize that we were being shown once again Miles using his powers. I think it would be kind of silly for the freighter people to have to memorize information about castaways that might not even be alive.

I dunno. Miles needs to find the body apparently, and the marshall is a ways off from the barracks, buried beneath the ground. I doubt this has happened yet...but it sure could.

Actually Miles only wanted to find Naomi's body. When he spoke to the murdered drug dealer, there was no body. He was just in a place that was personal to the drug dealer. And supposedly still there "haunting" the place. I think he needed to find Naomi's body, because there was nothing personal to her about the island.

As for how he knew about Kate, it's not like he couldn't have obtained that information any other way. I mean if there was a fugitive on a plane that crashed, yet no body was found, I would think that the authorities would inform the general public about the fugitive because there may be a possibility that she survived. If so, one of the best ways the authorities would have to catch her would be to have as many eyes and ears as possible. What better way to accomplish that than to let the world know about her?

Though don't get me wrong. I think the theory is quite plausible. Though I am still not convinced that he is talking to the dead. I think he may be talking across time, instead.
