BrothaJefe316 03-07-2008, 12:34 AM When Hurley hit that perfect horseshoe shot at the end tonight, did anyone else think of Walt and the knife-throwing in season 1?
Along those lines, is Hurley special like Walt?
- He can see things others can't - Charlie, Jacob's cabin
- He can make things happen using the power of his mind (presumably) like the horseshoe.
Is Hurley "special"?

Or Walts powers are more tuned in/powerful.

Colonel Corn 03-07-2008, 06:02 PM Uh, what about the fact that previously Hurley just had the worst luck imaginable. And now in at least two episodes, they have shown us that his luck has done a 180 degree turn.
First Jack comments on how he never misses at basketball, and then Sawyer and the horseshoes. So what are they setting us up for?
kittenkong80 03-07-2008, 06:05 PM I thought Hurley's own luck has always been good -- it's just after winning the lottery, the luck of some around him went bad.
laladollz 03-07-2008, 06:10 PM The scene with Hurley shooting hoops is exactly what I was thinking about when he said something about being lucky...especially since we've seen from his FB he wasn't exactly the luckiest guy in the world.
Maybe his luck has changed now that he has located the source of his unlucky numbers...
