I agree with you! How threatened was Charlotte -- all Kate was doing was asking questions b/c she realized the Freighties were lying. If Charlotte had just asked Kate the same question she asked Juliet, I think Kate would agree that you can't trust Ben.

Along those lines, now that Jack has been told that the freighties are there to stop Ben he'll trust everything they say and continue to believe they are there best chance at rescue. Even though they aren't.
