I wonder why Ana Lucia keeps getting mentioned. "The Other Woman" was the second or third time this season... and she was never mentioned in S03, IIRC. Do you think this is significant?

We know that Libby will be involved again (as per a recent Darlton podcast). Do you think we might see Ana Lu Lu soon?

I thought it was great to show the other side of that situation/conversation we saw of Goodwin and Anna Lucia. When she calls him out on being an Other, he says he's trying to make a case for her to join the Others. At the time, we all said "BS! You're just trying to stay alive and Anna, kill that weirdo!" Well, I guess he was trying to make a case for her.

I love this show sooooooo much. I didn't like Anna's character in season 2, I would not be opposed to seeing her again in someone's flashback, but I'm glad she was killed off.

I just realized that Ana is being brought up to remind us of what Michael did.

Good call...I thought it was nice that they brought her up again in Hurley's episode by having Big Mike show up. And then again in Juliet's episode.

Now if only they'd mention Mr. Eko a little more often...he moved the plot along quite a bit in season 2 and ever since his death there hasn't been much said about him.

Yes, gutsdozer, we need to get a nod to Eko too. I loved his story!

I think mentioning our deceased characters helps to keep the threads of the seasons fresh. We invested in these characters, so it's good to know they're still in the consciousness of those who knew them.

I don't suppose Locke will ever mention how much he misses his protege, Boone - but he needs a loyal follower like that about now!

Maybe before he went to Sydney, Sawyer got arrested in LA.

I do not think she will be returning, but I read on DarkUfo's site (I can't remember if it was in spoilers or rumors) that she was asked by the producers for a "special" photo of her- I think they will make mention of her and there will be a picture of her that will bear some sort of significance.

I think both Ana and Libby are mentioned repeatedly to remind us of our emotions tied to those characters. They keep us involved emotionally by generating distrust and dislike for both Michael and a select few of the others.

Ana's mentioned primarily because she was the strong one of the tail section. She was their "Jack", and it serves as a reminder that even the strongest of the strong are not safe on the island.

I think also the fact that Libby and Ana are tied into what's going on with Des and his sitch and Jack and his father (who is... still unaccounted for....) keeps our story playing out and we will see them MUCH more as we unravel what happened with Libby's boat.

YAY LOST!
April 24th can't get here fast enough.

In regards to your spoilerthe special photo will probably be used in a memorial service which the O6 attend, this is a guess **edited**it was a guess, based on logic, a plane crashes they have a memorial service for the victims. I would have guessed they would have a memorial service anyway even without the special photo post of yours, I just assumed the O6 missed it, becuase they were on the "deserted" Island when it would have happened. Oh maybe Michael attends it when he gets back to the mainland, and seeing the picture of AL and Libby drives him to attempt suicide.

Not a bad guess- much more realistic than any of the scenarios I imagined.

I dont see the point of bringing back Ana, besides reminding us what Micheal has done.
What we need is more Eko..,one of the few who actually cared about the Island, or advancing the plot..
