True but wouldn't it be easier for Ben to erase Miles than arrange for the 3.2 million? Considering this episode showed that he can cleverly arrange for someone (Goodwin) to get killed without a direct tie-in to him being responsible. Don't you think?

Yes to the 3 above posts. And Ben was telling the truth tonight...no iced tea involved.

Ben has a way of communicating even when he is being held captive, ie. using "whispers transport". He has informed the others not to storm the othersville.

He propably knows the extortion wouldn't stop at 3.2 million (to buy the worlds biggest hamburger), so he needs to make Miles disappear.

His another motive is to get a good dinner.

All's I know, is that Locke is a silly duck for letting him out. Ben might've been telling the truth, but there's no way he's telling the WHOLE truth. Remember, it is Ben. He's a master in the art of psychological manipulation, not to mention he doesn't hesitate to exploit people to get what he wants. He's a genius. <3 :rolleyes:
