Ok, forget about what we've seen in the flash fowards. Right now, on the island we have a few possible outcomes via a couple of people. The freighter people are bad for Ben, because they want to exploit the island, thus rendering Ben powerless if not in jail. They are possibly good for the Oceanic 6 if they are the way they get home.
Do you care if the island gets exploited by Widmore Inc.?
Do you want to see everyone bond together and protect the island?
Do you want to see the Oceanic 6 escape by any means?
Do you want to see Locke and company live happily ever after on the island with Ben and the Others, knowing all the island's secrets?
I want to see Jack and the Oceanic 6 get off the island, but at what cost?
Do I care if Widmore turns the island into Isle-Mart?
How do you feel about the future of the island?

Yes of course I do, Widmore has seemed like an awful assclown in any scene he has been in, he doesn't deserve anything from the lovely island
Do you want to see everyone bond together and protect the island?
No, Locke and Jack will always conflict
Do you want to see the Oceanic 6 escape by any means?
No, that could mean murder!
Do you want to see Locke and company live happily ever after on the island with Ben and the Others, knowing all the island's secrets?
Yes :D

Well, if it wasn't a TV show, I'd like it to be found and developed so that I could visit :). But as a fan of LOST, I don't want this island exploited. I also wonder if it's possible to do so, if the island can prevent it. Didn't Hurley say the island, or it, wants us to come back? I think the island itself has powers.
Do you want to see everyone bond together and protect the island?
I tend to forget about the Losties' point of view: They've been stranded for only 3+ months and they want to get home. I can't believe that they would all want to bond and stay. For them to want to protect the island, they'd have to know more than they do now. Locke's group is trying to protect themselves from Freighter Four. If you're asking if I want to see Losties join the Others in their efforts, no. I don't trust that cult.
Do you want to see Locke and company live happily ever after on the island with Ben and the Others, knowing all the island's secrets?
If Locke doesn't get back his "don't tell me what I can't do" attitude, I don't care if he's left in the dark. Wasn't he supposed to learn from his father's manipulation - and get freed from the daddy-issues by the guy's death? Instead, Locke has become a patsy to Ben, and that's just sad. :frown:
How do you feel about the future of the island?
The island has been a character in the show. In the beginning, we were wondering if it was a traveling island (trying to explain the polar bears -- hey, it worked on a Get Smart episode!) Whether the island is Jacob, or its own being, the island has character. I hope that the story unfolds to reveal more of that. I think the island, if it does have independent powers, will protect itself. It had the power to destroy the world; it may be able to rebuild that power. If the intruders make the island mad, :eek2: we'd better worry about our future!
