When Ben said the Temple is not for them, it's just for us, he meant "the Ohers" group, but he included Danielle in it, why?

My theory is Danielle is in fact an Other, that she and Ben are Alex's biological parents, and Danielle was in the jungle with a specific task from Ben from the beginning...

Cause he knew Danielle would do anything to protect Alex.

my theory is that she might have used to work for widmore and her ship was on a similar mission to that of the new ship but "the sickness" killed them off one by one

have we ever learned what kind of research her team was doing? or who they worked for 16 years ago? We Need a Danielle FB!!

I don't think Ben is Alex's biological dad, we've not been given any information thus far to support that, but I do think Danielle is her biological mother. As such, I think Ben would send them, the three of them....Karl, Alex and Danielle to the temple.

Danielle is more an 'Other' than the Losties...though less of a Other than Ben and Company, IMHO.

Ben did happen to turn to Danielle when he said "us". Yeah, I think she's an 'other' in a sense, but a rejected one.

My theory du joir; Danielle and Ben were both working for the same cause, but off-island, back in the '80's while he was 'mainland', France? (Ben lied when he said to Jack he'd never left the island), had a fling and she got pregnant. But learning what a dangerous sociopath he really was, Danielle ditched him and wound up with Robert (her 'lover', not 'husband' or Alex's father), who was on the science team that got sucked in to the island somehow, some way. (I don't get that part, but I don't get 815 or Desmond either).

When Ben found them all on the island, naturally he had the team killed off somehow, being a security threat, took his biological child and left Danielle to suffer in the wild for her 'betrayal' of him, not wanting to kill her only for the sake of Alex.

But now that Alex is grown and her mother has suffered enough to satisfy him, Danielle is baggage and needs to go.
