Since all the lostaways are keeping their own secrets about their pasts, I thought a list of who knows what about who would help keep track of them. Poor Hurley can't even keep them straight! Some lostaways may know or suspect some of these things, but it hasn't come out as yet. I'll update as we find out.

I think I can add Sun as a possibility that she knew about Kate being the prisoner. *I think she overheard Jack & Kate and made the assumption.

And I will add Michael as knowing about Walt, you're right he probably doesn't believe it right now, but he knows there's something different about him.
I'm not sure how to handle Shannon, I can put down that she uses men, that would cover Boone also. *I think there will be more secrets coming up about Shannon too.

We know at the very least Charlie and Jack knew about it. When he read about Claire's 'black rock' dream in her diary he immediatly went to Jack and Sayid to tell them about it because Sayid had 'mentioned something about a black rock'.

These are sort of borderline, don't know that they are actually being intentionally kept secret, but here goes.

Sawyer knows Kate was married in the past.
Boone knows Shannon was married in the past and had an eating disorder. (I think it was it bulemia?)

Boone may suspect Walt is special after the knife throwing lesson. Hurley may suspect Walt is special from his long string of good luck at backgammon.

Sun was nearby in the airport when Jack was pleading with the gate agent to get his father's body on the plane.

Boone saw Sawyer in the police station, so he at least knows he's been in trouble with the law at least once in the past.

You know, looking through the list you can see start to see their personality traits and who trusts whom with secrets. Sawyer has told no one but Kate about himself, Sayid doesn't seem shy about his past, Locke is guarded about his secret, but seems to know alot about everyone else, etc. Pretty interesting stuff here!

To add to the island secrets list...

Sayid, Kate, Sawyer, Charlie, Shannon, and Boone were going to keep the distress call secret but it seems to be general knowledge by now. (Since Sayid spilled about finding Danielle.)

Hurley knows about the radio tower (from Danielle); we don't know if he's told anyone.

Jack, Kate, Locke, and Charlie know about Adam and Eve, the bodies in the caves. No one except Jack, I think, knows about the black/white stones that he pocketed.

The diarist also heard the whispers but she doesn't know anyone else did.

I guess there are some secrets from Claire's diary that only Claire, Charlie, and Sawyer have had access to.

I think Sayid knows about the radio tower too..didn't Danielle tell him also?

And speaking of the bodies in the cave, I wonder what they did with them?

No, the DW didn't have any deep dark secrets about anyone else.* The only thing she said about Charlie was about him being in Driveshaft, and described his tatoo.* If you want to include her though, she must have been attacked in New Orleans.* For the island list you might want to include that she has some kind of weapon in her dive bag.* As I see someone else has already mentioned, she has heard the whispers.

We don't know if Sawyer read the diary or not. He SAYS he didn't but I don't know....

Just looking at the list and started wondering if everyone knows that Sayid was in the Republican Guard. It's never been said but it seems like Locke would know. Just not sure about Michael, Walt, Jin, Sun & Claire. Sayid doesn't seem to hide this fact, maybe hiding what he actually did while serving (the torturing). It just doesn't seem as though he minds people knowing he was in Hussein's army.

Come to think of it, Sayid is a pretty honest person, he doesn't lie when asked questions, even to Sawyer. But his personal life (Nadia) he keeps to himself. That's a telling trait about him!

I think most of them know about the polar bears now. I remember when Hurley set up his golf course saying they needed to have some fun and stop worrying about stuff like polar bears, Michael: "Polar Bears?" Charlie answered, "you didn't hear about the polar bears?" So it seems people are discussing it openly now. Even Walt knows about the polar bears since his little run-in with one.

The Ethan/Charlie thing, well we know Jack, Sawyer, Locke, Kate, Sayid, Hurley & Claire all know. So I can imagine the other adults in the group probably know, but might keep that info from Walt just because they think of him as a child. Jin might not know anything since he stays away from everyone. Maybe Sun would tell him? Hard to say how much some of these people are aware of but they must be talking to each other about these strange things going on!

I kind of look at the DW as representative of what the redshirts know. If she knows about the Ethan/Charlie thing, and she does, I'm pretty sure the whole group is pretty well aware.

Didn't Kate pretend to not know how to use a gun when she took it away from Sawyer? She asked if anyone knew how to take it apart, so I assume she was pretending again, like in the bank robbery. Sawyer might believe she knows how to handle one since her confession about killing somebody. Will have to look up transcripts...

I went back and added Hugo to Hurley's list. That might be a good one to keep track of since he doesn't want to tell anyone what is nickname means. Hmm..maybe I should change that to "nickname" instead of "Hugo/Real Name." That might be the bigger of the secrets, especially since the manifest probably has his real name on it and other people would probably know that is his real name by now?

Not quite fodder for a list of explicit secrets, but whose reason for being on the plane do we NOT know?

I think the reasons are at least fairly clear for everybody except Sayid.

Jack -- totally clear
Kate -- ditto!
Claire -- ditto
Michael -- ditto
Walt -- ditto
Hurley -- presumably just going home, and we saw that his reason for being in Australia was finished
Locke -- ditto
Boone -- ditto

Jin -- the details of why he was on the trip are a little contrived, but we've been told them
Sun -- traveling "with" Jin

Also, Boone is the only one (so far) that knows there was a radio on the plane and he made contact. Who knows though, he may wake up in the next episode and tell everyone everything.

Okay, I updated a few things on the list. Added to Locke about his kidney and having a scizophrenic mom (not sure if I spelled that right..no spell check right now :() And added Boone to Locke's wheelchair secret.

Hmm..seeing as how Boone is the only one that knows anything about Locke and Locke's penchant for keeping his secrets, that seems to put the nail in Boone's coffin. He'll die and nobody will know about Locke so his secret will still be safe. Poor Boone!!

Hmmm, I'm not sure we know that she's dead. The time frame, based on Emily's driver's license makes it sometime in the nineties that the whole kidney transplant con takes place. I don't think 10 years or so is enough to assure she has died of old age. I don't remember anything ever being said about his biological mother being dead. I would have to re-read some transcripts to be sure. It's definitely something worth looking into, I think. If anyone has additional information, please share and save me from myself. ;)

I'll have to check scripts so I'll go back and modify the list a bit until we are sure

My sister, Jeanie, died when I was a boy. Fell off the monkey bars and broke her neck. And my mother, well, my foster mother she blamed herself, of course. Thought she wasn't watching close enough. So, she stopped eating, stopped sleeping. The neighbors started talking, afraid she might do something to herself, I guess. [Sipping coffee] Oh, that's good. Anyway, about 6 months after Jeanie's funeral this golden retriever comes padding up our driveway, walks right into our house, sits down on the floor, and looks right at my mother, there on the couch. And my mother looks back at the dog. After about a minute of this, of them both staring at each other like that, my mother burst into tears. Beautiful dog, no tags, no collar, healthy, and sweet. The dog slept in Jeanie's old room, on Jeanie's old bed and stayed with us until my mother passed 5 years later. Then, disappeared back to wherever it was she came from in the first place.



This is the only reference I have seen to Locke's "mother" prior to DEM. If anyone else can think of another, I'll be happy to do the looking.

I'll add that one too. I don't think anyone but Sawyer & Kate know.

Locke is not "seeing dead people".

1. He sees Emily in a dream. That doesn't count.
2. We have zero evidence that Emily is dead. When Locke tells the story in "Outlaws" about his late mother and sister and the Golden Retriever, he says "...my mother, well, my foster mother ..." . So he is not referring to Emily (who may or may not be his natural mother).

So scratch Locke from the "Sees dead people" secret.
I think Jack still has that distinction to himself.

I was assuming the updated list on this page is the complete list. If I've repeated stuff, I apologize.

Locke's lack of professional expertise in "great white hunter" stuff might actually be regarded as a big secret. Does anybody else except Boone know?

Kate has outdoorsy skills. Are those secret?

And does everybody know what happened to Ethan and where he is buried?

It's possible that Charlie and/or Claire recalls something of being captured by Ethan that they're not telling.

- Locke whispered a secret to Walt after their backgammon game in Tabula Rasa. I think I remember Walt later told Michael that Locke had a secret, but rather than investigate Michael told him to stay away from that man.

LOCKE:
- Was paralyzed, woke up from crash able to walk. Announced to Walt that he has a secret in Pilot 2 (?) (Pilot 1 and 2, Walkabout)

- Saw "monster" or something in jungle, "the eye of the island" - has mentioned the eye to Jack but not in detail. (Walkabout, White Rabbit)

LOCKE AND CHARLIE:
- Charlie has a heroin problem (Pilot 2, White Rabbit, Walkabout), Locke knows and is holding his drugs (HORS)

I figure either Charlie has been sharing is info with Hurley, they seem to be tight, or the polar bear became the subject of underground camp gossip.

- The Frenh Woman Rousseau implies that the bears may have come with her expedition (SOLITARY)

- Heard a transmission from the French Lady, apparently 16 years old. Kate told Jack in WR. Charlie almost let it slip in front of Jack and Locke in HORS. We do not know if Charlie knows that Jack knows yet.

- Sawyer shot the Marshall in an attempt to euthanize him after Kate gave him the gun. The marshall didn't die, Jack apparently finished the job by suffocating him. (TABULA RASA)

- Was planning to leave her husband

- Speaks English - only Michael knows as of HORS

- Apparently killed somebody in past, only Sun knows (HORS)

SAWYER
- Was a con-man. His mother was killed by his father in a murder-suicide after being taken by a con-man when SAwyer was a boy. Sawyer became what he hated most. Only Kate knows (CONFIDENCE MAN)

- Was a torturer for the Republican Guard. Not so much a secret now that he tortured Sawyer in CONFIDENCE MAN.

- He fell in love with one of his prisoners, Nadia, and believes he may be responsible for her death. He carried a photo of her with the words, "If I don't meet you again in this world I will meet you in the next." written on the back. Danielle Rousseau now has the photo, as Sayid left it there when fleeing her shelter. (SOLITARY).

CLAIRE
- Was told by her psychic that her baby must be raised by her or it would become evil. (RAISED BY ANOTHER)

ETHAN
- We don't know what his secret is yet, or his reasons for abducting Claire and Charlie - but there is definitely something very freaky about the dude. Hurley claims Ethan was not on the flight manifest. (RAISED BY ANOTHER, COWBOYS)

JACK
- His father killed a woman on the operating table when he was drunk. Jack, as usual, feels responsible. He narked on his dad to the institutional review board, likely leading to his father losing his position. (COWBOYS)

LOCKE & BOONE - THE HATCH (Cowboys, WTCMB, HAM) --> Found a metal something in the ground while searching for Claire, by episode Hearts & Minds it's obvious they have not shared the secret and that the metal thing is some sort of hatch.

HALLIBURTON BOX (Kate, Sawyer, Jack, Sun - WTCMB). Sawyer and Jack knows Kate wanted the box and that it belonged to the Marshall, but not why she (really) wanted it. Sawyer does not know that Jack and Kate dug up the key from the Marshall's corpse. Jack got the guns and ammo out of the box, neither he nor Kate know that Sun overheard them talking so knows about the guns.

KATE'S SECRET PAST: (WTCMB) Through flashback we know she was a bank robber. She told Jack she killed the man she loved, and the toy plane she retrieved from the Halliburton case belonged to him. Kate used the alias "Maggie" while planning the robbery, and had her co-conspirators convinced that was her name.

She was briefly married, she's never voted ans she's never worn pink. She acknowledged to Sawyer during their drinking game that she'd killed a man. (OUT)

BOONE AND SHANNON: (Hearts and Minds) Through flashback we learn a) that they are step siblings, b) that Shannon has conned Booned out of money by tricking him into rescuing her from men and paying them off c) Shannon seduced Boone in the days before they got on the fated flight.

SAWYER: Was arrested in Sydney, was in police station at same time Boone tried to file police report against Shannon's "abuser". (HAM) He shot and killed Frank Ducket, believing he was his long sought after nemesis Mr. Sawyer. He acknowledged that he'd killed a man to Kate during the drinking game. (OUT)

BOONE & LOCKE (HAM): Locke beaned Boone on the head, tied him up, pasted the wound with hallucinogenic goop and left him at the hatch to have a "vision quest."

You're still listing Sun and Jin on the "Walt burned the raft" secret, but as far as i know the translator of Jin's dialogue there corrected his initial translation ("Your son burned the raft") later on to "The raft was already burning" which does not imply that Jin knew who did it.

hey Cin, I was just thinking how about scary dream sequence....we know Claire's had one and not really shared other than "someone attacked her" the fact that Locke was in her dream she's not spoken of yet! Boone is the only one that heard the transmission "We are the survivors of flight 815" Locke told Sayid he only heard static. I don't know how he could have even heard that, considering the distance. Unless, her was lying. ;D

Creme, that's what I've got so far too. Except I think I'll add Kate's outing to the Secrets No More list. That will go through camp like wildfire. (especially since Charlie was there!!, we know he can't keep a secret!! :laugh:)

Elfdream: you're right! Charlie's song "Monster ate the Pilot". Jack, Kate & Charlie agreed to keep that secret, but I think Charlie let that one out as soon as they got back to camp since on their hike Boone mentioned it after they shot the bear. So it's possible other people know about the pilot incident too.

Just reviving this with a comment from Artz - don't tell the fat guy if you want to keep a secret (paraphrasing- I know it's not exact)

Shannon and Boone know that Shannon sicked the airport cops on Sayid. Did they realize it was Sayid when they got to the island? Seems like that little piece of info might have come up when Boone was warning Sayid off Shannon.

Not sure about that. You can see Boone walking up in a screencap where Sayid is talking to Shannon. He is looking at Shannon. But Shannon is the only one who knows it now.

Sorry I haven't been updating the list recently. I've been having some computer problems. :P I'll update as soon as I get all my ducks in a row.

I think the manifest info will come out little by little, Hurley will spill the beans when the need arises!! I know some of these people are probably are aware of certain secrets, but when they actually come out and say it, then I'll add to the list.

Locke and the Walkabout. It never made sense to my how locke with computer skills would not have researched several Walkabouts and therefore could have possibley hooked up with one handicaped accessable. (the name alone would beg the question)
I think it was more than just the walkabout it was the location of the journey

Not sure he does Sam...but that will be a good thing to correct if he does. I haven't been on too much either, we finally got moved in one week ago and just got the new furniture so I finally have a place to sit! :lol2: Now I can start dedicating my life to LOST again! :jump1:

At this point, they only one Danielle has mentioned the radio tower to is Hurley. All Danielle told Sayid was that she "broadcasts from somewhere else, but they control it now". But since we know now Hurley is a talker (Don't tell the fat guy, as Arzt says!!) maybe he's told Sayid of it, but it hasn't come out yet.

I'm having a problem with one of the secrets: The Significance of Kate's Toy Airplane. I was thinking there would be more to that darn airplane than it just being of sentimental value to Kate. If that's all it is, then I'll add Jack as knowing about the airplane and it's significance to Kate. I really thought there would be more to that thing. ::)

I have to admit I was a little disappointed that there wasn't more to that little airplane. It just didn't make sense that she went to those lengths to get it back and to have it turn out to be just a keepsake of her old boyfriend. Kate's story really frustrates me sometimes.

5025 I've been wring about it for awhile. It was not on the plane when it came out of the time capsule. We see the numbers on the Island and they also seem to move. I have screencpas up someplace.

I thought I'd bump this up since I just updated the list. With season 2 approaching I wanted to be sure the list is complete. This will also be a part of the Long Lost List which hopefully will be up and running soon. It will also be more in depth on that site. Let me know if you see something that could be added. I'm not keeping track of speculation unless there's some good information through the transcripts to back it up.

If she doesn't know her father is a mobster, how can she know that Jin is? At most I think she knows that there was one incident where her father may have had Jin do something, but I don't think she has the big picture (unless something happened later that I've forgotten).

P.S. I'm glad you bumped this up. I haven't seen it in ages. :)

You bring up a good point. It's hard to tell just how much she does know just by watching the show, but she is a really intelligent woman, if she was raised in that type of life, she's probably put a few things together through the years. And remember she was upset that Jin agreed to work for her father. There was one line that made me think she probably knows Jin is involved in something shady. When she talks to Michael in IT, she told him "You don't know what he's capable of.", so I took that to mean she realizes he's dangerous and that her father is the one behind Jin's change.

But you're right, we're speculating on the point even though it's being hinted that she knows more. I think what I'll do is take her off the list for now, but I'll add a suspect list for her name.

ETA: I'm changing the wording a bit and adding a new secret. I'm changing it to Jin is Involved in Crime and I'll list Sun as knowing (just based on everything she's seen and things she's said.) And I'm adding Sun's Father is a Mobster, listing Jin as the only one that knows. That should clear it up a bit.

Somewhere in an old thread this scene was gone over in every minute detail. (I'll see if I can find it.) Claire's second dream, the hand that covers her mouth is Locke's, the sharpe metal that we get a close-up glint of looks to be Locke's big bowie knife but there is a point where it turns from dream to when Claire is awake, you can tell by the top she is wearing.

Just like her first dream, Locke is the substitute for the Psychic, same lamp from the Psychic's office is in Claire's dream with Locke.

I didn't know there was discussion about that being Locke's hand in Claire's dream. That brings up a few questions.

The first thing that comes to my mind is that Claire's dream is prophetic. Perhaps Locke will take Ethan's place in whatever he was doing on the island.
