View Full Version : If you were stranded....
flysail 10-31-2004, 05:38 PM If you were stranded and could choose one thing to bring with you, what would it be? This was asked to the cast members and they all respond on the ABC website. I am curious what you folks would bring. I would have to say Emilie de Ravin would be my choice. If I couldn't convince her, I guess it would be a toss up between toothbrush/toothpaste and a laptop with internet capabilities so I can continue to talk LOST with you guys. Viva la Claire.
Bana76 10-31-2004, 05:48 PM Well, if there was food and water, I'd bring a transmitter with batteries ;)
I would go nuts in those environments.
My What 10-31-2004, 05:51 PM This topic/post will go far flysail. Great topic.
Your idea about bringing a character from Lost is great. I suggest you allow the responders to bring one character from Lost and one Item. Seeing you are an understanding person, I will assume you will allow me to bring a character from lost and an item. Here are my choices and why.
1. Kate. She maybe the most beautiful women I have ever seen through a TV in my life. The features of her face are perfect. Her nose is as cute as a button, and I could not think of another character from Lost I would want to spend my duration on the island with than Kate. All of the aforementioned only works if Kate would want to spend her duration on the island with me as well. ::)
2. Since I am only allowed to bring one item, I will bring my own new invention. A solar powered toothbrush, which has an unlimited supply of toothpaste in the handle. This way, my teeth will always look pretty and my breath will smell good when Kate finally decides to kiss me. :-*
Bana76 10-31-2004, 05:54 PM In that case, I'll be bringing Sawyer with me.
flysail 10-31-2004, 06:25 PM My What, your wish is granted. From this post on viewers are permitted to bring one character from LOST and one item. I choose Rose and bag of sand. Viva la Claire.
flysail 10-31-2004, 06:29 PM For all of you people who didn't catch the sarcasm... here are my real choices.
1)Claire-duh!* Emilie de Ravin is the one person I wouldn't mind being stranded with.* She is beautiful.
2)Toothbrush and toothpaste(Since I made the post, I can combine these two items as one.)
My post, my rules.* If anyone chooses a radio, I will allow batteries as well.
Viva la Claire.
zia319 10-31-2004, 07:42 PM hmmmm...
item: transmitter
character: Charlie - sans addiction - or Jack - a doctor could be useful...
Speaker 10-31-2004, 09:14 PM Kate *fights my what for her* Though should we really fight over a woman who's a year older than us?
Yes?
Okay *fights*
Um...and ...er...Umm...er....ummm......errrr.....ummm...one item......umm...errrr.................a satellite/tv/tivo combo that's solarpowered so I could catch lost?
My What 10-31-2004, 09:27 PM Speaker and I will not need to fight over Kate. Besides, eventually you will see you(Speaker) will no longer be you soon.
But for now Speaker, you may have Kate on the island with you. She will be mine soon enough. Man this is pathetic, but fun.
Speaker 10-31-2004, 09:28 PM Speaker and I will not need to fight over Kate. Besides, eventually you will see you(Speaker) will no longer be you soon.
But for now Speaker, you may have Kate on the island with you. She will be mine soon enough. Man this is pathetic, but fun.
What? I will no longer be me soon?
And bwa ha ha ....mine ALL MINE!
FoxyGirl33 11-02-2004, 01:28 AM JACK. That's all I need. A nice, deserted island and Jack. Oh, and maybe a hammock for two :)
amystar 11-02-2004, 01:30 AM I'm not sure what character I'd bring, but as far as items go, it'd be a PalmPilot. I could have all kinds of reading material on it, and who knows? Maybe I could MacGuyver it into a beacon of some sort!
Bana76 11-02-2004, 02:21 AM What?* I will no longer be me soon?
And bwa ha ha ....mine ALL MINE!
I'm a girl, but I'd fight over Kate, too!
lainersss 11-02-2004, 07:00 AM Though not my fave character Id bring Sawyer. he'd keep things interesting. Toothbrush as well dont need lil sweaters on my teeth :P
Hiram 11-02-2004, 10:40 AM *
Ok, I'll go for Sun's teeth cleaning solution freeing up that one item thing.*
* And no Naveen I wouldn't bring a "suitcase full of sex" whatever that means.
* (Ha! Hiram rhymed again.)
Guess I'd opt of the most*powerful one person operable portable self-recharging radio station available.
As to the LOST person.* Without hesitation, it would be Kate.* *;D
Sherry 11-02-2004, 10:47 AM 1) Dimples is MINE!
2) Mattress
Hiram 11-02-2004, 11:50 AM Now Sherry, if you are of the female persuasion I'm sure that you, Kate, and i can work someting out together.*
If not, here's a hand full of sand in your eyes!* Ba Wa Ha ha a . . .* :)
*Hiram runs down the beach screaming like a girl*
Sherry 11-02-2004, 11:55 AM I was speaking of Sawyer... :-*
And I don't usually share...I might make an exception for Sayid... ;D
~Lexi~ 11-15-2004, 02:03 PM I think I'd bring Charlie along... I could hold him while he went through withdrawls, and then he could sing to me while we waited to be rescued.
As for an item... stuffed overnight bag? (with all toiletries needed?)... Hmm... nah can improvise, something to kill with... maybe Locke's suitcase of knifes.
~Lexi~
For the person, I would take Locke. He seems to have the highest usefulness quotient. (Yeah, I'm more interested in survival than in romance... I'm odd that way. Besides, Terry O'Quinn isn't half bad-looking.)
And a good book.
mammasays 11-15-2004, 03:07 PM Character: Jack-Schmack ... I would bring my husband, no foolin' I mean, Jack is cute and all, but my husband is the whole enchilada, in my mind.
Item: a case of Diet Coke.
DiamondLife1985 11-15-2004, 03:13 PM Character: Jack-Schmack ... I would bring my husband, no foolin' I mean, Jack is cute and all, but my husband is the whole enchilada, in my mind.
Item: a case of Diet Coke.
Ditto! I may joke about Sawyer, mine is also the whole enchilada plus seconds! He is a combo of Foxy, Dimples and Sayid mixed in with McGyver, Outback Jack, and a Muscle and Fitness model. :-*
Item a Swiss Army Knife and a Bible. Can I have both my husband and Sawyer? :-* The sarcasm and witty conversation going back and forth would be quite entertaining and better than watching any show. ;D
DiamondLife1985 11-15-2004, 03:18 PM 1) Dimples is MINE!
2) Mattress
See if you were really Sawyer's type you wouldn't need a mattress! ;) :lol2:
DiamondLife1985 11-15-2004, 03:19 PM [
mammasays 11-15-2004, 03:22 PM Actually, forget my original post ... I would bring Diamond Life's husband!
And still a case of Diet Coke.
:lol2:
DiamondLife1985 11-15-2004, 03:23 PM Actually, forget my original post ... I would bring Diamond Life's husband!
And still a case of Diet Coke.

Empress 11-15-2004, 04:07 PM Sawyer and a knife...
Jesyca 11-15-2004, 09:07 PM Charlie and Pepsi!
Varda 11-16-2004, 05:24 PM Charlie and my refrigerator. aka: lots and lots of pepsi, butterbeer, cheese, chocolate, and other things i couldnt live w/o.
would charlie be able to bring his item along? because then id have everything i need.
surreality_fan 11-16-2004, 05:42 PM OK, I'm working on the assumption that Charlie would be able to bring an item too...
Hopefully he would choose the guitar over the drugs...
So I would choose Charlie with his guitar,
and my one item would be...
A solar powered laptop, with a satalite internet connection or something...
I could download all kinds of useful survival info. and entertainment stuff...
and I could post at fuselage.com how wonderful life on the island is...
until someone here gets sick of it and sends a search party...
thus ending all my tropical fun.
mammasays 11-16-2004, 05:45 PM What is butterbeer? Anything like a butterbean?
Varda 11-16-2004, 06:00 PM butterbeer is... i dont know how to describe it. its made out of milk, brown sugar, vanilla, and butter. o, and the other day (after seeing the wonderful peanut butter part in confidence man) i replaced the butter with peanut butter to make: peanut butterbeer!!!! its good.
surreality_fan 11-16-2004, 06:03 PM Varda: Recipe? For the sake of verifing that it counts as one item...
but seriously butterbeer or peanut butterbeer sounds very good
Jesyca 11-16-2004, 06:50 PM Hah! Peanutbutterbeer... She actually made that yesterday! :lol2:
Varda 11-16-2004, 07:50 PM recipe:
2 cups milk
1 tablespoon brown sugar (I usually had more though, I'm unhealthy)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
spoonful of peanut butter.
Heat until peanut butter is melted, stir and serve.
very interesting taste, though I do recommend not drinking it during the summer, makes you overheat.
surreality_fan 11-16-2004, 08:25 PM Varda: thanks :)
Servo 11-17-2004, 07:18 PM item: wireless internet
character: Jack
Tari Luinwe 11-17-2004, 07:42 PM Item:CD player with headphones and detachable speakers and endless supply of batteries
Character: Charlie after withdrawl so we could make heavenly music together
OR Hurley so we could just have a really good time together
