Odds Claire makes it back before the O6 leave!!!

By the way, who in their right mind would read Alice In Wonderland to a toddler or even a preschooler? It would freak out my son and probably give him nightmares...

I think it was just supposed to be a reference to Jack, his dad, 'The White Rabbit' and Alice in Wonderland. Plus it is supposed to be a children's book. (right? The author wrote it for 'Alice' after all)

If you have kids I am sure you understand the difference between a children's book and a night night story for a very young child. You would not read "God, are you there, it's me Margaret" to a little girl Aaron's age, but it is a children's book......

But yes, I do agree that it is a literary reference for us..... just not very well thought out.

I still don't see anything wrong with it, but then again i don't have children and i haven't ever read Alice in Wonderland (been meaning to though....)
I wouldn't call "God, are you there, it's me Margaret" a children's book though, more like a preteen lol. But i havent read that either so i'm just throwing things out there.

Many younger (pre-speech) kids aren't as aware of the plot as they are of their parent's tone of voice and presence. Chances are the nastier bits of the plot went over Aaron's head. Still not a great choice on Jack's part, but then Jack and Kate haven't been "parents" for long and child rearing nuances like that are learned over time.

Wow. TPTB really made that White Rabbit reference stretch, didn't they? From season 1 to now! So, I guess we're going to see Christian pull out a pocket watch and shriek, "My ears and whiskers! I shall be too late!" at some point. If Claire is Alice, who's the Dutchess? ...Is Aaron going to turn into a pig?

Okay. I'll stop now.

oh big deal! like he'd even understand what was being said. It's the soothing sound of his Daddy/Uncle Jack's voice that a kid hears.

personally, i'd be much more freaked out by the art work of Aaron's on the Frig door. He IS the Little Nightmare! and remember the moster robots he made on his nursey wall in "Eggtown"?

Honestly I wrote the part about Alice in Wonderland as a simple btw. I figured there would be more posts about Claire's odds than the whole book thing.
