Which bags do you prefer and why?

I like plastic because it's bad for the environment.

Cute! ;D I'm going to have to go with plastic. But, I have my groceries delivered and make sure I send the bags back from the previous week so they're recycled. I have bouts of environmentalism. :P

I like paper-in-plastic. This way I get the strength and stability of paper with the handles from plastic. Most of the supermarkets around here only have plastic though.

Same here - usually have to ask for paper! When hubby packs everything is in plastic. I do reuse them for trash etc. And often think of buying the canvas bags but haven't done that yet!

I like plastic bags. But I reuse them, so I'm good. :)

I reuse mine too. They hold my lunch and garbage, but not at the same time.

I like the fact that so many people here are reusing their plastic bags. It's refreshing to learn that there are still people in this world who actually care about our environment

yeah i like plastic bags... i re-use them for trash bags around the house... or to lug my dirty shoes around

I hate plastic! It winds up mashing my bread! I always request paper if available.

When I remember to bring it along most of the time, I use a net bag. When I don't, it's plastic carrier bags. But my cat enjoys wearing them as capes, and it seems to bring him a lot of satisfaction, so who am I to argue?

I prefer paper, but I reuse both- the plastic holds the used cat litter and the paper holds 3 or 4 of the filled plastic ones.

I use cloth bags everytime but when I do need to choose I pick paper. I then use the paper bags to put my newspaper in for the recycle guys to pick up!

I like paper bags because for some reason, I think they're hot.

I have cloth shopping bags I bring to the store. I sometimes get paper bags for my paper recycling. And I sometimes get plastic to scoop kitty litter. :)
