So Claire is being hid away in Jacobs cabin for some strange reason and Christian thinks that she'll be safe if no one else know's she is there. With Locke, Ben and Hurley concentrating on moving the island, Sayid and the beachies trying to get saved and Desmond and Michael on the freighter will there be any scene's involving Claire in the last two episodes or will the writers leave a big gaping hole on her storyline, not to be revealed till next February..

What do you think?

The oddness of Claire leaving Aaron and her bizzare behavior in the cabin suggests to me a big involvement in the finale.

I hope you are right, Dark Horse! This has been driving me crazy.

For some reason I think we won't be seeing anymore of Claire this year.

It would be disappointing, as she is my favorite character. I especially love "Creepy Claire" which is my new name for Claire in the cabin. Creepy Cabin Claire. :D

Anyway, I'm really intruigued by her new storyline. If we don't get anymore CCC this season I'll be expecting the season 5 premiere to be Claire centric. Or at least to have her be a main player next year, unlike seasons 2, 3, and 4. (although I will admit that I've been satisfied with the fact that she's getting more screen time this season - even if it includes drinking coffee with Kate)

We sure need a Claire centric ep, Josh. Haven't had one this season, have we? So, how would you feel if she's actually dead but she's there in some kind of ghost form?

Yeah, no Claire centric this season. Although when I heard that the season would be shortened because of the strike I wasn't really counting on one.

To be honest I wouldn't be very happy if she were dead but still here. Mainly because it would pretty much make Charlie's death pointless, wouldn't it? He died to get Claire (and Aaron) of the island. If that doesn't happen I'll be disappointed.
I'd also love to see Claire reunited with her mother, not to mention I want her to find out that she's related to Jack. It'd be cool to see her reaction to that.

And on top of all that we still haven't seen the "Raised By Another" storyline play out. I doubt the psychic was a fake. It has to have some meaning. Hopefully Charlie's message to Jack means that not only Jack can't raise Aaron, but anyone else besides Claire.

I just think her character has to much more potential, and I just don't see how they could keep Emilie as a regular if Claire were dead.

To me it just seems unlikely. Claire wasn't in her house when it blew up. She was outside, most likely hanging laundry. And later Miles said he wouldn't be so sure that Claire would live. IMO he just said that because Alex was just shot in the head, and he knew that Keamy was still alive and would kill anyone who got in his way. While watching the episode the fact that Claire was dead never even entered my mind.

Yes, it's much easier to explain her being so confident in the cabin this way (aka Creepy Cabin Claire or should I say Calm Confident Creepy Cabin Claire - lol), but I just think it would be too easy. Plus it would suck for all the reasons I said above.

I think Claire was so confident in the cabin, because Christian just told her everything that was going to happen / is happening / has happened. Ok, maybe not everything, but just enough for her to not worry so much about Aaron. It's also possible that she's being manipulated by Christian in some other way. Who knows, maybe she thinks Aaron is in the cabin with them and she's imagining him there. I don't know.

So many questions! I really hope we'll see some more of this in the finale! Maybe Keamy will head to Jacob's cabin, seeing as he said he knows where Ben is? Wouldn't it be awesome if Claire killed him? Haha, wishful thinking I guess.

Do you think she's meant to leave the island, though? I mean, it seems Aaron is going to be reunited with her on the island. I think that's part of the reason Jack is so determined to get back.

I agree. But what doesn't make sense to me, if she's supposed to raise Aaron, why did Christian separate them?

I just think her character has to much more potential, and I just don't see how they could keep Emilie as a regular if Claire were dead.

I only figured she'd be a regular is if she had a regular 'ghost' role. Do we know if she's signed on for next season? I heard she was, but is that a for certain? Not sure if that would be considered a spoiler or not.

I totally think Miles' line was just that. He meant that none of them were guaranteed to make it. Not that Claire was really dead, like some people are saying.

Yes, it's much easier to explain her being so confident in the cabin this way (aka Creepy Cabin Claire or should I say Calm Confident Creepy Cabin Claire - lol), but I just think it would be too easy. Plus it would suck for all the reasons I said above.

I hope she's not being manipulated. I want to believe Christian is helping them. I can't stand to think Locke would be manipulated once again. It just doesn't seem fair to his fans. Heh.

Ha! That'd be great or Ben! I also hope we get more answers about Claire in the finale.

By the way, do we know who the last eps are centered around? I mean whos FF/FB?

Do you think she's meant to leave the island, though? I mean, it seems Aaron is going to be reunited with her on the island. I think that's part of the reason Jack is so determined to get back.

You know for a while now I've had this picture in my head where the last scene is everyone back on the island realizing that they are there for a purpose and that it's their destiny. I'd love for Claire to stay on the island, but I also want her to be happy.

I agree. But what doesn't make sense to me, if she's supposed to raise Aaron, why did Christian separate them?

You know, that is a very good question. I've also been asking myself this. I can't seem to come up with very many answers, that actually make any sense, but I guess I have a few. Christian seems to know what is going to happen in the future. He did tell Locke that Keamy was already on his way in the helicopter. How would he know that? Maybe he knew that at the end Claire and Aaron would be reunited anyway?
Or another one, which in my opinion makes more sense, is that separating Aaron from Claire would give Jack a reason to want to go back - to reunite them. He'd definitely feel bad for Aaron because Kate is not his real mother. (we've already seen that in episode 4x10) In the season premiere Hurley told Jack that the island didn't want them to leave and that it's going to do everything in it's power to get them back. Having his nephew separated from his mother may just be what triggers Jack's urge to get back to the island.

I only figured she'd be a regular is if she had a regular 'ghost' role. Do we know if she's signed on for next season? I heard she was, but is that a for certain? Not sure if that would be considered a spoiler or not.

I understand, but I just don't see how that would work. Recurring, yes, but regular... not really.
Emilie said in a recent interview that her contract has not been renegotiated despite some rumors. She's still signed till the end of the show. (as are all the other Losties as far as I know)

I hope she's not being manipulated. I want to believe Christian is helping them. I can't stand to think Locke would be manipulated once again. It just doesn't seem fair to his fans. Heh.

You're right. Locke has been manipulated enough. Hopefully Christian is there to help them. He is Claire's and Jack's father after all.

By the way, do we know who the last eps are centered around? I mean whos FF/FB?

Well as far as I know the finale will be centered around the Oceanic 6. All three hours. But I guess they could slip in a few surprise flashbacks or flash forwards. Who really knows until it airs?

How about 'Creepy Sexy Cabin Claire' :) lol

In a way it might be good if we don't see her till next season as it would mean that she has a part to play in the next season, worst thing to happen would be for her to be killed off in the finale, noooooo. I miss charlie, but I would REALLY miss Claire.

Haha, or 'Cute Creepy Cabin Claire'. :)

I agree, I'd rather not see anymore of her this season and see a lot more of her next season. I'd hate it if she died.

I'm hearing rumors from Kristin that...
A main female character won't be returning next year. She'll be absent of all season 5 and only return in season 6. I really hope she's not talking about Claire. Or anyone else for that matter. Hopefully she's wrong.

Maybe the reason Claire isn't one of the Oceanic 6 is not that she's dead, but that she has work to do with Jacob? Maybe Christian told her that Aaron would be fine with the rest of her friends -- either he was incredibly convincing or he messed up her head forcefully.

If she isn't signed up for the next season, she can still be a guest actress, showing up here and there with Christian and her creepiness.

So I guess I was wrong, and we did see her again. Only for a few seconds, though. I guess it's better than nothing.

It has been confirmed by Kristin (I guess she's somewhat reliable) that Emilie's contract is on hold until season 6, which means she won't be back as a regular next season. BUT she most likely will return for a couple of episodes as a special guest star. According to one of Kristin's inside sources, Claire is "off with Christian."

What will be her status in Season 6?

According to Kristin... her contract will be on hold for season 5, but she'll return as a series regular in season 6. Hopefully with a bigger part to play.

As long as we see her back in S6 when she's reunited with her son.
