I'm re watching the episode right now and watching Locke's mom give birth she reminds me a lot of Claire. Just as Locke's mom gave up on him, Claire was trying to give up Aaron. Aaron may yet end up with a similar fate when he is raised by someone other than his mother. We still aren't sure a reunion is going to happen between the two.

As for Locke, we all now know that Locke is someone special. Richard has been watching over him for his entire life and now we are starting to get an idea why. As for Aaron he has been getting a lot of attention for a child and may very well have an interesting destiny just like Locke.

In the end we may find out that the leader of the island is reincarnated and it is the job of the inhabitants of the island to go and find the new leader. Maybe Richard was also present at the birth of Aaron. It could be another reason that Claire ended up on 815

I have a theory about reincarnation in the general theories section that addresses this issue, and in short, I think Aaron is exactly like Locke... a genetically designed vessel for the incarnation of another... the question is.. did the transfer work? Is Locke the reincarnation of X? The man with the Book of Laws?

That's a really good catch, Irish77, I hadn't thought of it. They were both born prematurely in the wake of a crash, and of course the adoption aspect too.

I think there are many similarities between all the births we've seen take place....and I think it has a lot to do with the overall storyline...Claire and Sun gave birth to children who will save the island in the future, and the only other births we've seen, that I can think of so far has been that of Ben and Locke and both times, people from the island have mysteriously been involved..to ensure these 2 save the island in the future.....

Well I dunno what Claire's middle name is but I believe the actress that plays Claire is named Emilie. That sure makes for an interesting coincidence.
