View Full Version : Zombie Season?
bkn6136 06-10-2008, 04:25 PM So with the revelation that the frozen donkey wheel was just that, I was wondering if any of the other things TPTB have told us about the show in the past that we write off as jokes could actually have some deeper meaning.
The first one that comes to mind is the "Zombie Season" they keep joking about. Now I don't really expect Boone and co. to rise out of the ground, but I wonder if there's a chance we'll see more of the deceased characters make appearances ala Christian. Just a thought.
Dr. Suds 06-10-2008, 05:44 PM Just a chance?? I think hardly any of the deaths we've been shown were real. And you already saw Boone after he got out of the ground, talking to Locke.

I do. They have to go all out of they are going to do a zombie season. And I'd love it if they did.
CarpeDiem23 06-11-2008, 09:43 PM I expect this is part of the very bad things that happen
Dr. Suds 06-12-2008, 02:48 AM There's no need for a zombie season. They'll just keep reintroducing the "dead" as they've already been doing: Christian, Boone, Bakunin, Charlotte Malkin, Charlie, Yemi.... You only thought they were dead.

okay so they keep dropping hints about a zombie season, so I have been racking my brains about what this could mean. I've come up with something that, if I were part of TPTB, I'd seriously consider doing - but I've got no evidence that this could or would happen.
So the basic idea comes from the 'zombie' season theme whereby old characters start coming back and interacting with those left on the island. I've compounded this by a friend telling me that a couple of old characters are indeed getting call-backs. Then it's an idea behind 'really bad things' that has been mentioned. It's also fitting in with the "oh but actually there's another group you should be worried about" theme that Lost basically subscribes to.
What if when the island moves, the organic nature of those on the island reforms to its last complete state (insert time and space, relativity-esque etc rubbish here). By that - I'm considering everyone who was dead becomes alive again. I like this idea and so would the producers because anyone unburried can avoid being resurrected via the burried-alive-syndrome. This could be a good excuse as to why old favourites like boone will/may not come back - because they were resurrected but died again underground in their graves.
It ties in with something that's made me wonder... the open grave of the dead Dharma team. Why is it open? Ben had no reason to attract wildlife to the pit. Adam and Eve in the cave are dead, and uncovered. Others that have died were also not burried. Ben didn't bury his daughter (in all fairness he could have gone back to bury her at some point before turning the donkey wheel). etc... it makes me wonder why...
Maybe its because when the island moves, everyone becomes alive again. This gives Ben an advantage or power over his people - because without him moving the island they'll be unable to avoid Whitmore but as a result they're going to have to deal with Dharma again. And with Dharma alive again, that could be a very bad thing as the war between the Others led by Locke and resurrected Dharma starts for the next season.
Could this be why Ben isn't that worried about leaving/moving the island and instantly getting back? Could it also be the reason behind him purposely leaving the graves unfilled? I'm not sure. I haven't thought it through 100%, but I really like the idea as I think it could have potential. And best of all - we could get some serious answers about Hanso and the Dharma initiative this way.... and it could lead to why Locke has to leave the island - for help.
maxaholic 06-16-2008, 11:04 AM i think that ben is worried about leaving the island. he looked up and said, i hope you're happy, jacob, which to me seems odd since ben is so trustworthy of jacob. (i do believe that it was not jacob's request to move the island.....christians) but that's another theory. he seems to have been biding his time off the island, waiting for a way to get back, and the only way being with the 06. i don't think he's self assured, i think he's hopeful.
as far as zombie island? I don't know.
too2strange 06-16-2008, 11:19 AM Dead? Whose Dead and more important when did they die? On Lost, anything can happen! As long as you have white sneakers!

Boone already came back to meet Locke and discuss the Eko problem, and being buried is not an impediment if the grave has been prepared for the Coffin Escape. Or, as in Boone's case, if everyone turns and pretends to watch Jack & Locke pretend to fight while he escapes the body bag.
All the on-island and pre-island deaths were faked except for those of Eko & Nathan, and the graves were prepared for the Coffin Escape.

Meano Franko 06-16-2008, 10:57 PM Those of you who listen to the Official Lost Podcasts know that Darlton constantly joke about the upcoming "zombie season." They joked about the finale being called the
"frozen donkey wheel." A title so weird that no one could guess what it was really going to be about. Well, those two jokers pulled one over on us once again.
So, will there actually be a zombie season?
atlas1212 06-16-2008, 11:13 PM Probably referring to the fact that a ton of the past characters are dead and will keep reocuring all season.
bkn6136 06-17-2008, 11:51 AM I brought up this exact question in the general season four forum. I think it's possible we will see more and more of the dead characters as the final two seasons play out.
DaSenor2427 06-17-2008, 12:55 PM When they bring Locke back to the island, he'll resurrect and become the Zombie...:) :)

you do realize that you are in violation of site rules, right? did you not see the "send me my password" function when you couldn't log in? your previous name was tuxxx and you need to pick one or the other and if it is the old name, then request your password be sent to you. not rocket science, really.
if you have further questions about this, post them in the Q&A forum and one of the mods will help you.
tuxthecutey 06-26-2008, 04:37 AM i'd like to point out my thread on the zombie season has been deleted.
i'm taking this as a conspiracy that i was right. ^_^
I also worry that, however good the ending is, we're going to be disappointed because nothing can be good as our imagination
