So I was in the Emmy Nomination thread and I saw that there were some people who were West Wing fans like me. The theard soon got off topic and I decided to start a thread all about West Wing. So come here to chat about what you like and dislike but please be nice to each other.

Hello. Good idea....we were way off topic in the Emmy Nomimations thread, but that happens sometimes. I actually haven't seen much of the last season. I hope to catch up over the summer so I can pick up again in the fall. I gather Jimmy Smits was going to be the new Pres, but perhaps it will be the Republican Alan Alda? Either way, it sure will be a different show without Martin Sheen and Stockard Channing (who was underutilized).

I really liked the first two years of West Wing but after a while it seemed like they kept rehashing the same issues.... :-\

I still think seasons one and two are the shows highest points. Season 5 was really bad. But it did pick up this season which is good.

I'm hoping for Jimmy Smits to win. But I also like Alan Alda. My mom says it's a generation thing. My grandparents want Alan Alda to win. So that could be why there not saying who's going to win. Even both actors don't know if they are going to win, but they are both signed on for two more seasons.

A fan site did a poll for the election on the show and Jimmy Smits would win in a landside. So if the producers want to keep the show on they better let him win.

But how about letting Josh and Donna get together already! The writers have held out for way to long.
