I rented the movie today, I'm going to watch it tonight. Sounds like a "Magnolia" type of movie, but I just hope it's not nearly as bad.

Magnoalia is one of the best movies of all time. Crash is not just for everyone, it's not easiest movie to follow beacause of it´s complexity....

CRASH was freaking awsome!! I loved it, even if your not intelligent enough to follow the plot, the people, and the feelings, are so intense, its amazing!!

Gotta disagree with you on that one. Magnolia is one of the worst movies of all time, in my opinion. The only cool part were the raining frogs.

We all have our differences of taste :)

The man behind CRASH, Paul Haggis was once executive producer in best show in the world called the DUE SOUTH!

I saw Crash last night, I didn't think it was complicating at all, but a very good story and movie. It was very intense as far as feelings were for the characters.

I watched it when it was out at the theaters (way back at the beginning of summer... sniff). I thought it started off shaky (probably because all the repetitive racial talk and slurs made me uncomfortable... I remember thinking: "Allright, I get it!! OK... STOP NOW!!"), but then the movie got just more and more intense (in a good way) while the characters got their story lines more and more entangled. It's truly been a while that a movie made me think as much as this one did.

****1/2 out of *****
(I always wanted to do that... *grins*)

LOL @ Petra

I'd give it 4 stars probably, out of 5

I really loved the racial element. It was done realistically, and that stuff happens all the time. I also enjoyed how towards the end of the movies, all these different races (and people/personalities) collided and mostly turned things around for the good.

I agree with you Star. It also reminded me of Short Cuts. :)

I think the characters were much more 3 dimensional and richer than in Short Cuts, though. It's an intense movie and very thought provoking and compelling. I really loved it.

I think Crash was so realistic, and intelligently done...I mean, at first, the rascism is from an outside source (white cop treating black couple bad)(store owner getting his shop vandelized) but then, it started turning inward, they turned it against each other, the black couple starting to tear each other down, and the store owner turning te violence and hatred shown to him and his family towards another family...I mean, it was just so realistic...but its depressing that life is really like that...

I saw this film last night and its absolutely amazing. It is a tough and sensative subject but its amazing how it portrays our world...which is sad thats how the world actually is. Its kind of predictable, in my opinion, but I love that fact that the characters/stories are all connected.*

I rented it last weekend because I've heard such great things about it. Aside from the continous cussing in the beginning (I hate it when movies do that), it was a GREAT movie! It most definitely was a thought-provoking film. I loved how everyone's lives entwined together towards the end.
