I recently brokedown and bought season 3 & 4 on DvD. I don't have cable due to various roommate (former) troubles. During season 4, I was surprised at how good Glenn Close was. After watching promos for Season 5 with Forest Whitaker I am seriously excited.
Has anyone else seen the first episodes? and if not any lost fans like this show (they are on two different sides of the Tv Show spectrum)?

YES!!! Here!!! I love the shield and Forest Whitaker was great in the first episode!!! Do you think if Glenn Close will be back? I hope so because she was really great, but no Golden Globe for her :down:

I got hooked on this show just this season after a friend told me I would love it. And I do! So I've watched most of the first season to catch up. It's so good. I think Lem is my favorite. Based on some of the first season... but now I worried about him after last nights episode.

I really hope he doesnt rat out the rest of the team

I'm crazy pumped up for the 90 minute season finale tonight of The Shield. The show has really made a significant come back from a weak season last year, what with Glen Close prancing around the barn trying to scrape together some kind of emmy nomination with every scene.

Forrest Whitaker is tearing up the show, but in the good way. His scenes where he's going bonkers and spitting everywhere are priceless, and I hope they can keep him on for season 6... but I get the feeling he's probably gonna snap tonight and some people are gonna get dead.

I'm super excited too. I actually liked Glenn Close. She gave Vic a run for his money. I think she helped him to become a good cop again, by believing in him? What do you think?

I want to see Acevado (sp?) go down HARD, and the undercover guy is a slimeball. I didn't even feel sympathy for him when his wife did that crazy thing.

The Shield has definately had it's ups and downs, but it seems to be on the right track again. Love it!!!

The season is over and Shane killed Lem. I can' believe it :20:
I'm really looking foreward to the new season.
Does anybody know, when it will start?
