Im a big U2 fan...

So i think its about time this great band finds a home among the fans of Lost.
A show wich is equally great. Maybe all the Losties are Running To Stand Still...lol

Hope to hear from fellow fans.

U2 is a great band with a message.

I sometimes think of these lyrics from "Walk On" when we see eps
in which peoples past is so clearly having a huge impact on the present.

And love is not the easy thing....
The only baggage you can bring
Is all that you can't leave behind

Home… hard to know what it is if you’ve never had one
That's where the hurt is

Leave it behind
You've got to leave it behind

Top five bands of all time...ever...truly masterful men of music..

That was a non mod/U2 fan post..:)

This is a mod post:)

Let's be careful as to not post the lyrics to the songs here. There are third party copyright rules in place for good reason. I would love to read their lyrics as much as anyone else...but we need to just post a line or two and not the entire song..

Have an awesome day everyone...!

U2 is the only band that matters. :D

So anyone going to watch the Grammies? They are peforming..again. :)

Bono spoke at the Prayer Breakfast in DC earlier this week. He said "Pray that I don't say something I'll regret!" :)

The thing is I live fairly close to DC and whenever he shows up in these parts I usually never know he was even here until after the fact! Grrrr....

good question... i had to look it up...

31 - The record for the number of Grammy awards late conductor Georg Solti has, the most awarded to a single person.

19 - The number of Grammy awards Stevie Wonder has on his fireplace mantel, the most won by a solo artist over his career.

i couldn't find most grammys by a group, but U2 must be leading that category... can't think of any other off the top of my head

good work SS, im sure they will break the record in a few years, they have a few more years left in them, not bad for a rock group eh!

I love music and was overjoyed when I discovered U2 a couple years ago. They are one of the few bands of their influence and power. They are awesome. Bono's activism is purely inspirational. He fully bdeserves being a person of the year!!!

I don't believe so, but I don't profess to be the expert in all things U2 and Bono. So, maybe you're right about the whole man of the year thing, but as far as I know this is the first time.

Hasn't Bono been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize, too, for his efforts on behalf of third world countries?

I agree that U2 is one of the greatest bands of all time. Their music isn't fluffy; it sends a message.

Bono is HOT!

U2 is amazing!! I wouldn't go to say that they're all Running to Stand Still. Charlie's the only one with the drug problem. Jack's figured out that Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own. And they've all got it pretty Bad.

I love their version of "helter skelter" also! It is sooo good!!! Rattle and Hum is one awesome record, especially their version of "All Along the Watchtower." That is one of my favorite songs ever! I love the Dylan version, the Hendrix version, and adore the U2 version!

That is a very good question! I don't think it's possible. The hard thing about U2 is picking your favorite songs!!! There are so many awesome ones. Right now, I really like the live version of "Gloria" from "Under a Blood Red Sky." That song is so good!! :)

Question: Have any of you seen U2 live? I've heard they're phenomenal live and would love to go see them sometime!

U2 Rocks! I love their music. It never disappoints and always delivers. What more must I say? Other than...they will always rock! Then, now and in years to come. The music is just so soothing. It's rare to find a band as genuine as they are.
