Is there a show that has had a greater influence on our culture and society than our yellow four fingered friends from Springfield USA??

Homer is an icon now.."D'OH!" is in the dictionary...catch phrases have been born, cultural icons cut down to size..nothing is safe from the wit and humor of the writers and the delivery of the cast...

What are some of your favorite episodes...lines...catch phrases...characters...???

I say D'oh all the time. It's funny, this show has been around so long. I remember when it started on the Tracey Ulman show. That was how long ago? Almost 20 years ago! I still love Ralph saying "Hi, Liar" to Lisa (when the Christmas tree burned down, Miracle on Evergreen Terrace)...and just about anything he says.

Great lines from Homer are all over the place.

"To alcohol...the cause of and solution too...all of life's problems!" (The beer baron episode."

Who knows how much longer than can do this show..I can't honestly remember a time when it wasn't on...

I think they'll be making episodes up until 2009 I heard. I think my Simpsons DVDs are my most watched DVDs.. I just never tire of watching episodes, even after I've seen them over and over again, on TV too - the show is just so addicitve!! I'm really looking forward to the movie next year.

The Simpson's have to be up in the top 3 Shows of all time... i have literally grown up watching them since they got their full show appeared in 89, when i was 9 yrs old!!

homer is by far the best character i think, how a show has continued to be so funny after all these years is beyond be, the writers are soooooo good

I love this show, it's so hilarious. Each character contributes something to the show and sometimes the show makes no sense whatsoever.

My favorite ones are the Halloween episodes. They get so crazy and unbelievable, but that's why it's so good.

I loved the one where they changed the city name to Libertyville and they showed Dracula around Burns' table and he said about Frankensyein, "His name is FrankenRaegen...it was just the way he said it, lol. It's only funny if you see it, lol.

I love the crazy cat lady. The episode where lisa was filming for kids news and the crazy cat lady chasing her was so funny.

The episode where Homer thought bart was gay was funny. The bit where Homer comes down the stairs singing along to Cher and then seeing bart dressed up as Cher was so funny.

There's just too many funny bits to get in one post. I need time to think

Yea Yea, the one where Homer has a fight with Marge and he becomes roomates with these two gay guys, who were absolutely awesome, and the one guy had a crush on Homer and he KISSED him! omg, that was hilarious.

And Ralph Wiggims is funny. lol. He went to the barber and said, I want this. And showed the barber a picture of Charlie Brown? LOL. I choo-choose you...lol...

Or when Marge put her hand on ralph's shoulder..

Ralph: ahh.. she's touching my special place..

I love the one where Bart and Lisa start writing itchy and scratchy cartoons using Grandpa Simpson's name..and then when they tell him..

lol, I love when Homer tries to give advice to his kids. He's clueless! And it's so funny cause he tries so hard...from the heart really.

Homer: Lisa, Vampires are make-believe, like elves, gremlins, and eskimos.

I love the way that Bart wrecks the flag that Lisa made during their field trip to Capital City. I think it said something like "To fraternal love" and he made it say "Learn to fart". I don't remember what happened in the ep, but I love when Bart got the name of the country changed from the United States to Bonerland. :)

Ralph: "Why do people run from me?" as a dark stain spreads across his pants. lol

And one more Ralph line: "Yay, sleep! That's where I'm a viking!"

The episode where the kids get snowed in school.

Then Homer and Ned rescue them, but the car is full of fumes so Homer is hallucinating. And he see's Lisa as a goat and bart as some asian dancer.. :24:

My season 8 boxset arrived today, can't wait to get watching it - I think it might just be my fave season with eps like The Springfields Files, You Only Move Twice, Homer's Phobia, Homer's Enemy... man, every episode on here is a classic!
