So I notice some people who ordered from movietyme.com have already gotten their DVD sets in the mail. Some have mentioned already discovering the easter eggs. I would like to start this as an official easter egg thread. Let's use spoiler font in case people want to search on their own, but if you've found easter eggs on the discs, please post them here for those of us who are impaired when it comes to that sort of thing and just want life to be easier.

Ta!

I'd also like to point out that the 3 easter eggs on the UK series 2, part 1 set are not on this (unless on another disc, which I haven't checked out yet).

Thanks whispervixen! So just to clarify, these Easter Eggs you've given us are for the US complete set, yeah?

I can't tell you how to find it since PowerDVD on my computer is anything but cooperative right now and I had to get up to get to the DVD player (me=lazy!), but that scene has to be somewhere on the DVD! I just ended up in the file that scene is part of (VTS_16_1.vob) and there even seem to be some more easter eggs... ;)

Also on the bonus disc -- Under Phase 1>> Lost: On Location... When SOS is highlighted, hit the right button twice and then the up button. It's a segment on filming the scene with Bernard in the tree.

On the Bonus disk, In "The Connections" The connections are very complex and will take you a while.

There is a neat little "game": I'm spoiler fonting just in case.

On the Bonus disk, in the "Lost Connections" section:

Start with Jack, click the connection on the right side on the top. That takes you to Desmond. Click the left side top connection and it will take you to a green screen that is the "hatch computer". Yes, it's beeping. Use your DVD remote to enter the numbers (4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42) and hit enter. This takes you to a new connection which is the "numbers" connections. The left side top connection contains an Easter Egg about the Valenzetti Equation written by Gary Troup.

Also, another interesting connection for Jack, Christian and Claire, there is what appears as a "short circuit" connection for each of them and only them, that emerges on the screen as a "snow pattern" with what appears to be a Man waving.

Phase 3 (Lost Connection) - If you find your way to Eko, and I can't remember how to do that at this time (DVD player is at home, internet is at work) and you click on the right wire
you see a scene in which Richard Malkin tells Eko information that was not in the episode where the two of them speak.

Some comments and questions regarding the spoiler posted above:

If you go to the number 8 there will be a book shown at the very end but it flashes so quickly that I can not read the title. I thought it might be important somewhere. As well, the Gary Troup thing didn't work. When I used the left side top connection it just took me to the number 16. Let me know if anyone got that to work or if they were able to figure out what book it is. Thanks

I found a little EE on disc 4.

Go to 'register your dvd' and move the remote key (I can't remember if it's left or right but you'll figure it out) and you get the album cover of Geronimo Jackson.

I found one between two other characters that pretty much confirms a fan theory. If I knew how to spoiler font I'd mention it but I'm pretty sure people can figure it out.

When you reply to a thread, the button on the menu of a large, white capital "S" on a black brackground is for Spoiler font. Click on it and place the text you want to spoiler inside the two "tags"

Another broken connection...

There's a different broken connection between Locke and Sawyer. It doesn't play the clip of a person waving, but plays the clip when Locke asks Sawyer why he calls himself Sawyer, then calls him James.

To access it from Locke, use the wire on the right side, bottom. To access it from Sawyer use the wire on the left side, bottom.

The book that flashes
behind the "static" is "Valenzetti Equation" a book written by our fictional Gary Troup. Here's a link to the book - you'll recognize the cover:

I can get them all to work but this one. How many times do you have to hit the 'right' button ?

Thanks everyone, esp. whispervixen, for the EEs. I got a few on my own, but it was good to get the rest of the them. (Well, if that's the rest of them.) The Connections ones are just too much for me right now but maybe someday.

gumpy5 mentioned in another thread that he is able to check for the EEs somehow (something computer technical, heh) without even flipping through the menus the regular. I wonder if he can inspect the DVD to see if all of the EEs were found?

Has anyone found any on the other discs, or have we been focusing solely on the bonus disc? :) I'm going to watch a commentary or two so I'll see if I can find anything.

gumpy5 probably did the same thing I did and simply watched the individual files on the DVDs on the computer, nothing that spectacular about it... ;) Checking the DVDs now, let's see if I can find something! :bigrinan:

Let us know what you find, my dear Starrox!

OK, I think I went through all files now! So here's what I found:

I didn't find anything on the first three DVDs and on Discs 5 and 6, they all look basically the same - lots of smaller files, one file with around 90 MB for the menu and two for each episode, one with 0,99 GB and the second one with around 0,5 GB depending on the length of the episode and the number of audio tracks (-> the episodes with audio commentary). On the 4th DVD, however, I found this (http://www.starrox.net/badrobot/lost/pix/disc4.jpg) at the end of the menu... :24:

As for Disc 7, I found another Behind the scenes-video at the end of VTS_16_1.vob about... well, rain... that I don't remember seeing somewhere before (might have missed it, though!)

Ha! That is funny! I'll be on the lookout for that on the 4th DVD.

Hm, anyone finds out how to access that other EE on disc 7, let us know. I didn't see that one.

Thanks, Starrox!!!

Ok, I couldn't find that one on the 4th disc, I could only find the picture of the Jeronomo Jackson album cover.

And I still can't find that rain EE on disc 7 - it's driving me crazy! :dizzy:

I can't find the album cover. I've tried pushing the arrow keys when I'm in the Setup menu (of disc 4) when I'm on Register Your DVD, and I get nothing. And I've tried actually going into the Register Your DVD and pressing the buttons and I get nothing. How do I find it?

whispervixen, any luck with disc 7? I haven't gone back to check on that one yet for myself.
