So its official. After 16 years and so far 90 race victories and 7 World Championships, Michael Schumacher will retire after the Brazilian Grand Prix on the 22nd October. Would you have liked to see him stay on for another year or two or is now the right time for him to hang up that red helmet? Also, feel free to leave your thoughts on anything else F1 related

ya i saw this on the news this morning,
no its time for him to go....he's a legend don't get me wrong,
but he has won it too many times....its like Ferrari and him had a monopoly on the whole sport up to a year ago....move over and let someone else in..
did you hear Aussie motor legend Peter Brock was killed the other day in Perth during a race

yeah i suppose but watching the race on sunday its obvious that he's still the best. i guess he just wants more time with his family.
No i didnt hear about that. I don't honestly know who he is but its crap that all these people are getting killed. I mean two australian legends in a week?

yah, F1 will sure be losing a legend when Schumi retires
it was nice to see that he wasn't dominating the last 2 years like he used to
but you're right, clearly he's still the best out there
did you guys read about the sale of Midland F1?
i heard that the new team will basically be a baby ferrari
running the previous year's ferrari car... but that's just rumour

No I hadn't heard that about midland. I must confess I think Midland are the most boring team out there (although thats mostly because I'm Irish and had a soft spot for Jordan) but that would be interesting if they turned out to be a Ferrari junior team. It would certainly move them up the grid a bit next year.
