Noticed we have no ships. Yes, it is kind of a joke, but I really do like their Dave & Maddie banter. ;) I could not resist launching their ship. For me they are the most enjoyable of the couples on the show. Anybody else?

ETA: And their names just squish together in such a convenient way. :24:

If Dave is the young boy that worked at the grocery store I'm in. I love the idea of the geek getting the popular girl. There's lots of room for interesting scenes with those 2. :kiss1:

Tee hee...I guess nobody knows who I'm talking about.

Stanley + Mimi = Stimi = Farmer + IRS agent

Dave and Maddie were from Moonlighting. Looking back, I can see why nobody understood my post. I wasn't very clear at all. Was it very late when I made that post?
I compare them to Dave and Maddie because of all the pretending not to like each other, and biting wit disguising unspoken sexual tension, or UST as I will refer to it henceforth.:)

I loved Moonlighting. The sexual tension was fabulous.

Stanley and Mimi are fun to watch. I've seen her on another fav show, NCIS a few times recently, and on maybe CSI?

Has Stanley been seen before?

I loved the scene when Bonnie said Mimi couldn't go with them. Winning over a teenager will be a big chore, but super interesting for us to watch.

Even when Mimi was using blackmail to stay at the farm my take was she was already having feelings for Stanley. I wonder if he has an old flame that will make an appearance to cause another love triangle.

Oh goodness!! I hope not. We already have two with Eric and Jake. I don't think I can take much more. :24:

Please God, not another one *L*. Save it for season 2 *LOL*. I also liked Moonlighting, although I was kinda young when it was on and didn't get all the sexual tension stuff at the time. Just thought Dave was funny *L*.

Wow! That happened fast, but...

Tango Margaritas! What's not to love? :jump:
I think we need a new smiley.

They had so many great moments last night...even before the kissing . I actually think they should have waited a little longer...kept the tension runnning for a few more weeks ;)

I loved when she kept telling him to take off his shirt and he was all embarrased...he he he...but the tango margaritas were definitely the best. He's such a sweet guy!

Mimi had genuine feelings in her eyes. Awwww :inlove:

Like in Lost, when your under a lot of stress it seems to accelerate relationships. I love the build up and would have enjoyed more foreplay, but Mimi will muck it up somehow, which should make for some interesting scenes.

In recognition of the Stimi...erm...recognition in Vox Populi, I have decided to throw a party. Everyone is welcome, and you can come as you are. Over by the bar, you will see that we are serving Tango Margaritas. Help yourself, there's plenty more. The glasses aren't chilled, but I hear Heather will have the ice ready shortly.:icecube::icecube: :baby:

If you are hungry maybe you could try some of the canned peaches. :peach: :peach: Bonnie won third place at the fair with those. I also have a little bit of Mrs. Green's pumpkin pie left from Halloween.:pumpkin: :pie: Other than that, I'm afraid all I have to offer is some processed cheese food on Chinese crackers.:cheese: :cheese: I'm not sharing the chocolate.:hersheys: :hersheys: :hersheys: : Don't ask!

I hope you all like the musical selections. We're only using music in 2/4 or 4/4 time. It took a lot of work to move all the furniture out of the way, so there will be dancing. If you didn't bring a partner, you are out of luck, because ...

It takes two to Tango!

I guess it's not unspoken anymore huh?

I like that it moved fast. I think sometimes when TV romances take too long, that it kind of dooms them, ya know?

Love the Stimi refernce. I was totally laughing my butt off.

 After seeing your post over at the Ugly Betty forum, it is no wonder that it no longer being unspoken pleases you. ;)

Yes, I think I agree on the moving fast thing. Going back to the Dave and Maddie thing, the UST made that pairing great, but they dragged it out so long that by the end, viewers were kind of fatigued with the whole thing imo. After they finally let the two get together, there was really nothing to hold the viewers' interest anymore. Now, if they hadn't teased it for so long(years and years), or let the UST run the show, it might have turned out differently. There's so much more room for development between Stimi this early in their relationship, that I think letting this part happen was a good idea. :)

Dave and Maddie are a perfect example, but there was also Sam and Diane, Judge Stone and Christine Sullivan, and Luke and Lorelei as a few examples. I think the show writers need to decide early on if they are going to keep it a UST situation or if they are going to let the relationship progress, because the longer it gets dragged out the easier it is for it to be doomed.

Heh...I'm finding Stimi's first meeting pretty entertaining. The cornchip thing was hysterical. Did anyone get the Forest Gump vibe from that little encounter? Stanley is the good cheese, really he is.

Yes - it was hilarious! They do portray Stanley as the typical 'farm boy'.

The best part was Mimi's "Just don't talk to me!" - the second time.....

:)
