Hm... I thought it looked funny, but wasn't planning on watching it. I think I might though given the time slot. They haven't had much luck with that slot... pacejunkie 01-03-2007, 11:54 AM I came over here to see if anyone was planning on checking this out. It premieres tonight, and since I still have that 9pm Wednesday time slot set aside in my brain... The real reason I'm going to watch is Donal Logue. The thing is, I'm not that into pop culture and know very little about most movies and TV of today. But I saw an old clip of Donal Logue filling in for Craig Kilborn back in 2004 on the Late Late Show when he interviewed Dom Monaghan. It was a great interview largely because Donal was so incredibly funny. I only saw the clip so I didn't know the guy's name but he looked very familiar to me. So I notice that Knights of Prosperity is his show and it premieres tonight, so because it was still nagging at me I checked him out on imdb. Besides the fact that the guy is a comedian/character actor who's been in over 70 films (yeah, I feel like I live under a rock sometimes), he also featured in one of my favourite all time X-Files episodes ("Squeeze") as an old friend of Scully's who went to the Academy with her and is trying to further his career. So I see that and I go OMG! That was him! That's where I know him from. Now it's all clicked. He's awesome, and I'm definitely checking out the show. I think the premise is really funny, and he's a riot. If anyone sees it, come back later tonight and we can compare notes. myothercarisflight815 01-09-2007, 08:31 PM I watched it last night... it was funny. DharmaChick 01-11-2007, 11:05 AM This is yet another series, like Day Break and Big Day, where I wonder how long the series can actually last. The plots of these shows are more like movie plots. There is a point where the plot just can't be stretched out any longer. Anyway, I missed the first show. Was it any good? fenwayfan 01-11-2007, 04:08 PM i liked it. made me laugh. jagger was hilarious. pacejunkie 01-18-2007, 09:52 PM I only watched the first one. It was funny, but not good enough to make me come back. Didn't bother the following week. I liked the jagger stuff though. From the previews, it looked like the way they'll extend the premise is by having all these celebrity cameos and new plot for them to hatch. They may move on from Jagger's place to someone else's for example. Maybe someone who's seen more than one episode can confirm that's where this is going because that's what it looked like to me. myothercarisflight815 01-20-2007, 01:37 AM Ok, so I'm watching the second one as we speak. It's so silly. In a good way. I like it. |
