View Full Version : Canceled!
lostgurl 05-16-2007, 03:38 PM OMG what the heck?!?!? :frown: :frown:
Now we'll never know what happened. UGH!
NEW YORK -- CBS canceled the nuclear apocalypse drama, "Jericho," on Wednesday, another sign that TV networks are shying away from serial dramas after overloading on them last season.

I know, and I can't tell you how disappointed I was to learn this.
There is currently an online petition circulating for the renewal of Jericho. At last count, it had over 11000 signatures. I don't think it could hurt to also contact CBS and let them know how you feel. (I certainly did! ;))
CBS contact information: Kelly Kahl, Senior Executive Vice President of Programming Operations (kkahl@cbs.com)

The idea here is to get her attention in as unique a way as possible. It may cost a couple of dollars, but if we all sent her a small bag of nuts, like you would buy in a vending machine with the word "JERICHO" written on the outside in magic marker it would get their attention. After all, 7million bags of peanuts is a lot of NUTS!!

I've seen that suggested on other message boards, and I personally think that's an hilarious and attention-getting idea! :71: I also think it's a good idea to send separate snail mail letters of complaint, as well.
Of course, this could all be an exercise in futility, since they seem to have made up their minds. Still, it makes me feel better to do something. So I say:
NUTS TO CBS!

OMG that's genius. I already wrote to CBS, and I just signed the petition. I have to do the peanuts thing now.

That's a great idea. I also read that it was cancelled. :frown:
upuaut_108 05-17-2007, 02:31 PM NUTS!!!
Why do they cancel great shows and air crap?
I'm sending the biggest bag of peanuts I can find!
PhillyGirl2873 05-18-2007, 09:57 PM That really sucks. I liked this show. :(
shootfire 05-19-2007, 10:01 PM Very sad to be in the TV Graveyard. :crying:
But check this out (http://youtube.com/watch?v=4k9qtVveo9A). Some brilliant vidder, who goes by LisiBee, posted this on YouTube.;)
lostgurl 05-20-2007, 09:28 AM Looks like all the outrage is getting some attention:
From an official statement from CBS:
In the coming weeks, we hope to develop a way to provide closure to the compelling drama that was the Jericho story.

I agree they need to find closure to the show. but cancelling it was pretty nasty. I can't believe that this show is now in the tv graveyard.
bringerofchill 05-22-2007, 02:29 PM There is alot going on right now to save the show. If any of you want any more information I can post it here.
lostinSLC 05-22-2007, 04:04 PM ARG!!! I am going to join in the effort... I loved the show, it was just on at a bad time for me (right in the middle of dinner, bath, and bedtime for the kiddies, it is on at 7:00 PM here) and so I always had to record it or catch what I could of it. I am so sad that it was cancelled! I am SICK of the crap that they put on to replace these great shows as well.
Jack Bauer 05-28-2007, 12:21 AM CBS is dead to me.
shootfire 06-06-2007, 05:53 PM CBS is dead to me.
Will you forgive them if they bring Jericho back? Because they did! :jump:
lostinSLC 06-06-2007, 05:54 PM Can we get this moved back to the regular forum? :)
lostgurl 06-06-2007, 05:55 PM There's a ton of threads about this now, lol. Maybe we can get them all merged or something.
Anyways... yippee, more Jericho!!!!!!!!!!
bringerofchill 06-06-2007, 06:07 PM Wooohooooo. We Did It

Well, if you still have room for more BFFs, I'd be honored. Of course, with fans like Virginia Heffernan, I'm not sure you need me.;)

Oh, I always have room for more BFFs.
I still can't wrap my mind around the Virginia Heffernan thing. If someone had told me three weeks ago that something I made would make into a NYTimes blog, I would have told them that they were...well...nuts.
