I really enjoyed the pilot. I'm big fan of the movie and I thought that this show really captured the mood of the movie (without looking as campy).

When I first saw this advertised I wondered how they would keep it interesting if Flash was going to be stuck on Mongo for the entire series, but I really like the back and forth nature of traveling through the rifts.

This show really entertained me and I guess my only compliant is that the guy playing Ming isn't Asian :biggrin:

I thought it was ok. I was impressed they re aired it on universal hd last night at like 1 but I didn't get to record it. I am holding out my final thoughts on it until after another ep or 2.

The guy that played Ming in the 1980 movie is a Swede.
I think the show is not living up to its potential. They are not spending enough time in Mongo. I was very disapointed with the Hawk Men. This last weeks episode with Lillian was done before in almost every Sci Fi show including Smallville

I am hearing cancellation rumors already...:undecide:

I am sticking with it so far. It comes on before Stargate Atlantis. I caught up on last weeks episode and was pleased to see Sam J Jones make a cameo appearance. He of course was Flash Gordon in the 1980 movie that I love.
