Hopeless zombie love?

Been thinking about how much I like Goodwin, probably in part just because of his name. No other name on the planet could win me as such. And the stake through the chest isn't half as unbecoming as it should be, zombie is this season's black, but then Brett Cullen is a crackerjack actor.

So is there any sliver of a chance Goodwin will be anachronously appearing in future episodes? Or can I just go with whatever Goodwin mythos my brain has devised, like a first name beginning with the letter A...?
