A series recap exploring questions that have been answered and those that haven't. Executive producers Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof host.
Sorry if someone else posted this already... But Lindelof said 'When Oceanic 815 crashes, Ben's got LIFE FOOTAGE OF THE PLANE' and the crash has already hit the news'
How come?
I'm not saying anything, but didn't he express himself correctly or was it a very important clue?
Or I am just reading it wrong?????
I didn't say he had footage of the CRASH. He said footage of Flight 815. Why would anybody be videotaping Flight 815???? What I quoted up there is exactly what he said.
Here's the exact quote: "When Oceanic 815 crashes, Ben's got live footage of the plane and the crash news has already hit." Also, on the screen below a pic of a plane that appears to be landing at an airport, there are the words "Plane disappears over Pacific Ocean."
Here's my take: Ben's live footage is the plane over the island captured via Mikhail's video feed in the Flame. As for the "crash news" I think Lindelof misspoke and meant to say plane disappearance. I wouldn't be surprised if they clear this up in a future podcast. I don't think there's any hidden agenda. This entire epi just seemed like an opportunity for them to set the record straight, not introduce new mysteries.
Personally, I dont think they shy away from a wee bit of deception in Podcasts. Thats my impression. I certainly dont consider their words in these Podcasts as canon. Just my opinion, of course...
"...Jack and Sawyer. They're the duality. They're one of the most important character axes on the show."
The footage may have been of another plane, just footage of the airport, it never said it was Flight 815 they where showing. Just that it had gone off the radars and crashed.
