No offence meant, but all you people are missing something: This is the section of the Charlie forum that's set aside for people who dislike the character.
If you like the character you're not supposed to post here. This is where people are supposed to come and say things like they wish Charlie was forgotten. This place isn't for you Charlie fans. If you don't like what I'm saying, well I'm not saying it for you.

Alex being killed is very different from Charlie being killed. Alex was a good character who should have been kept around. Charlie was an annoying little twerp whose death was overdue. There's nothing hypocritical in what I've said. Hypocrisy is when you pretend to attitudes you don't have. I'm not pretending to anything. It's not like I said I think they shouldn't kill characters. It's only good characters who I think they shouldn't kill when the show so badly needs good characters. Charlie was hardly a good character. Big difference between Charlie and Alex. It's not like me being angry that Alex died means I'm not allowed to be glad about bad characters being killed. Do you want a list of the characters I want dead? It's long. The show has plenty bad characters who would have been far better choices for killing than Alex. And characters who were once good have become tired cliches. Alex was a great character in a show that needed good characters. And Alex being killed has caused me to have a lot less patience for all the things and characters that have gotten on my nerves on the show.
In the first episode of this season we had to get Hurley acting like a prize jerk over Charlie dying. Meanwhile Alex didn't get to say a word. When I go to read what happened in The Shape of Things to Come, people are all worked up about Claire mumbling Charlie's name and there's not half enough anger over Alex's death.

No that doesn't follow. Charlie was forgettable. Alex wasn't. It's not like I said "we should forget all the characters who died". I said we should forget Charlie, because he was annoying.

See the second paragraph of my answer to widmorefun. Alex should have been made a regular long ago. I'm sick and tired of screen time and attention being wasted on inferior regular characters while Alex gets hardly any screen time.
But hey, all the above doesn't mean I can't have sympathy for you guys losing Charlie. But sympathy doesn't mean I don't think he should have been killed and it doesn't mean I want to hear lots about him when Alex should be the topic. Nobody enjoys losing characters. So I'm sorry you guys had to lose a character, but this is the Charlie-bashing part of the site where people are supposed to express anti-Charlie feelings and that's what I'm doing.
