my enjoyment of lost actually heightened a bit once i realized that watching some of the episodes in a different order can make the show a bit more captivating... it seems that at least 3 episodes in every season can be moved to great effect
in regard to season 6... watching "across the sea" after "the end" takes the show out on a much more interesting note, and watching "the end" with "the new man in charge" cut back into it gives the final few minutes of the show a whole new meaning (it goes right between the scenes with ben, hurley, and desmond at the source, and the scene with ben and hurley at the church) watching this scene in with the finale gives one the hope that things did and will go on, which was lacking from the original ending
another alternate episode order that i highly recommend is changing the order of episodes 6,7, and 8 in season 5... watching Lafleur, bentham, and 316 in that order will make season 5 as a whole a much more enjoyable ride
maybe at some point ill make a list of all the episodes that can be watched in an alternate order, but im hesitant to give this show any more of my time than it has already taken up
I know no one is hardly posting anymore, but I am really intrigued by this idea. I hope you come back with more ideas.

I don't hate it as much now that I realize it's not the end. I don't know if such a thing has ever been done before, i.e. a false ending to a serial. I get the allusion, planting ourselves in the time between the supposed mysterious occurrence and the supposed blackmail message as in "The Lost Special" -- and I've got to admire their guts for trying it...but it's still a mean trick to play on the audience.
