Donna is EXCELLENT! I loved the way they kept avoiding each other at the beginning there! Like a dance almost I totally knew that those people in the office were just looking at them as they were having their silent movie conversation...
The fat babies... At first I thought EWWWW, but then that little one in the sink was smiling and waving.. and it had a tooth... awwwwww

anyway, i LOVE DONNA!!! she is perfect and while i understand that the Dr had to go "through" Martha to better understand himself, i could have done without her Donna makes Martha look rather lame IMO. of course Donna is a bit more mature than was Martha. so yeah, if only i could pretend that S3 didn't happen...well except for the great parts of storyline, Family of Blood 2 parter and Utopia 3 parter. i have a tendency to watch S3 "around" Martha..like i block her out.
anyway, this is a great start to S4. did anyone notice in the promo

that line about "volcano day"? isn't that something the Dr. and Jack commented on in S1 in the Empty Child 2 parter? something about remembering to set your timer for volcano day. mmmm, Jack.

I saw that discussed in one of the LJ comms... ppl saying that Jack mentioned he'd been in Pompeii for Vulcano Day... and they wondered if there will be any mention of it in the 2nd eppy.
I loved the first episode. I thought those little fat babies were too cute and I don't think they were really evil. They couldn't help being born from people's fat.
I liked Martha, so it was good to see the Doctor talk about her. But I also LOVE Donna. She's just so sassy and funny. "Just tell me what you need." lol
A great start to the new season and OMG Rose at the end! I'm glad she fadded away, because I don't want her return having some lame excuse. It seems like she may have found some way to cross over?
