4x07 The Unicorn and the Wasp

Have to say didnt particularly enjoy this one as much as the others... it was good but not in a Dr Who way... I felt they restrained Donna to much in place of Agatha who bored me... loved the charades scene though... and at least we know that it

Re: 4x07 The Unicorn and the Wasp

You have no idea how relieved I was when I saw that scene!!!

Of course I totally panicked when the Doctor said he was poisoned and stormed out of the room but then I was kinda confident that he's be able to deal with the poison somehow.

I loved the ep... thought it was really entertaining and funny - and RTD just HAD to have a gay character in there . Yep... really happy with this one.

Re: 4x07 The Unicorn and the Wasp

i really enjoyed this one just b/c it was a funny romp. Donna was so much fun and i enjoyed seeing Tate getting to do a bit of comedy. Christie was a bit sedate compared to the Dr and Donna but that is how it should be. anyone remember how dull Dickens was?

i esp. enjoyed the confidential for giving away how they were able to work ALL of the novels titles into conversation.

yes of course we have to show that gays have been here all along...Donna cracked me up with the "bus" line to which the Dr countered.

the kitchen/poisoning scene was brilliant and so funny. i wonder how many times DT had to eat whatever it was they gave him to eat. i certainly hope he didn't really have to chew on anchovies too many times. and poor Tate having to kiss him with possible anchovy breath.

one of the more fun, not arc related eppys of the season...though Donna did mention that bees were still around in 1926. except of course it was a GIANT wasp and not really a bee.

Nice little standalone episode, very enjoyable.

Now the two-weeks before we get Moffat's two-parter. Should be worth the wait though!

Re: 4x07 The Unicorn and the Wasp

I loved the epi!!! I've always loved Agatha Christie and her "whodunnit"-style, and I liked how they played around with it. It was really enjoyable if you ask me! I always want more Donna, but I like how they wrote her in this epi. And David Tennant's face... I will never get tired of watching his 1 000 001 expressions. I was in stitches laughing several times during this epi! I also particularly liked the woman playing Lady Eddison. She was everything an English Lady needs to be. So excellent!

I'm really happy there's Eurovision to keep me occupied next weekend... Hiatuses suck!

Felicity Kendall - she has done a few major roles in TV right back to the 70's

I did notice that they used a large amount of the books but Im sure they missed some out I will have to check at some time...
