Hi, not sure if this has been suggested already, but here's my guess as to why Locke, the hatch, and the drug smuggling plane and it's radio are *NOT* going to be found out by the other survivors.
Boone is going to try to tell Jack and the others, but they are going to think he's delusional and thinking about the original plane crash that brought them to the island. I can see it going something like this :
Boone: "I was in a plane....it fell..."
Jack: "Boone, we know, we were all on that plane"
Boone: "radio transmission...heard voice on other end:"
Jack: "WE know, the french lady...it's a loop, remember"
That's what I've been considering, as well. If Boone isn't in full capacity, his attempt at an explanation could simply come across as a dellusional re-telling of the original crash to someone who doesn't know better. They may totally disregard any talk of planes.
Boone: the only guy who could crash land on the island twice without ever leaving it.
I'm sorry about that!
Can I ask, though, not to be argumentative, but just for clarification.. what about my post refers to the preview? The episode ended with Jack tending to Boone, so that's not from the preview...and everything else I mentioned I'm pretty sure was also something that already occured in the episode.
I don't care one way or another where my post is put really, but I just would like to know for future posts! Thanks!
Thanks for responding! I've been lurking for a long time and got up the nerve to post- so imagine my disappointment when I thought I broke a "rule"!!
I didn't mean to disappoint you. I don't mean to disappoint anyone here.
I move topics, merge topics, etc just to try to keep it a little more organized.
I also move topics if they go into the 'spoiler' zone so the unspoiled do not get disappointed.
But in this case, I clicked 'move' too soon. All my fault, not your's.
And welcome to The Fuselage.
Have no fear, just jump right into the mix but be careful in the Theory zones. Some topics can become debates but isn't that what theories are about?
Now about your topic ...
Oh please LOST writers. I don't need to see this cliffhanger AGAIN.
If that happens, I'll be as 'happy' as Perian.
Ddandie, that sounds like exactly what'll happen to me too.* ** I've been thinking that since Boone is the only person who knows about the radio contact, he just about has to be killed off (unless of course he can conveniently develop amnesia)... but your scenario works too.* He'll impart the information, but nobody will believe him.* And of course Locke isn't going to back him up.* *
