According to lostpedia: 17 are left in total which includes Juliet, Miles, Charlotte and Faraday but doesn't include the oceananic 6 so I make it that 18 of the original 47 plus Aaron are still alive plus the 4 I just mentioned. If we don't include Rose and Bernard (they better be alive) I make it 10 extras left. Please correct me if i'm wrong.
I do give the writers points for not giving the latest redshirts names and funerals.
I actually always found that kind of funny. How of course, when a Lostie dies, we all get super emotional and crazy about it, but whenever one of the other survivors die, it might as well be a random ant that got stepped on. lol
these people's lives are totally insignificant and unimportant
kind of sad really
Heck with the redshirts... I'm wondering just how many 815 survivors are left on the island? I can only think of Locke, Sawyer, Rose, Bernard and Cindy and i think two kids.
So the O6 risks it's butt to return to the island to save what, 7 people? Seems a bit much.

Well don't forget Vincent! That makes it more worth wild right?
I think there are more passengers that the others took, besides Cindy and the 2 kids...but we were never introduced to them. Right?
Great question! I was trying to think of this myself after the episode. To add to the question, how many tallies are left, and what are the whereabouts of the Oceanic survivors overall. Do we start with 48 and 23 or 47 and 22 because Goodwin and Ethan don't count?
