Daniel scolded both Charlotte and Daniel on separate occasions with almost the exact same words, that kind of attitude, it's not exactly what we need right now. Was Daniel scolded this way in the past? Think it means anything?

I think it's only the kind of "i really need to think right now and you're not helping the matter any" kind of remark. Sort of like when you have to tell the kids in the backseat to settle it down because you're trying to concentrate on driving.

I doubt the line has any further importance or hidden meaning. Danial has become the defacto leader of the remaining Freighties and he's just trying to keep the situation under control.
