"I'm not allowed to have chocolate before dinner?"
I've been thinking about this a lot. Does anyone have any theories about this? Or, better yet, something that is actually tangible that we've seen yet?
My gut reaction is that ... when we see Daniel meet Charlotte as a little girl in DHARMAville .... that he's going to bribe her into talking with him by offering her some chocolate. Total speculation, of course.

I'm with you on this one! That sounds like a great theory. And an apollo bar for sure. I wonder if Daniel will run into Charlotte randomly or if he will seek her out knowing what "time" he is in.
My wild guess for the day is that Charlotte is Annie, and we'll hear that line said to her in reference to the Apollo bar she gives Ben.
This is a great idea. I like it too, except there's one little catch - Charlotte is nowhere near the same age that Annie would be. But maybe there's an explanation for that, too.

yes, i certainly do!
i think that when she was little she befriended daniel (the crazy looking guy that). she said that he told her that she should never come back that she would die if she did. i think that since he was kind of scary to her, he would offer her chocolates to ease her nervousness. i'm thinking that this all comes to why daniel loves her. he may have a bigger connection to her that even she didn't know. i think that marvin candle was her father by another mother other than the woman he was in bed with. this woman was his lover and she left when everyone was told to leave. the reasoning being that she said that "she knows the asian culture more than hannibal" (probably close but not the exact same words). i think she gave a lot of information before she died. it's something you have to go over and over again to catch everything.
loved her scenes. i'm going to miss her.
You could put Jack and Kate on a New York City street and have them pass each other at rush hour on a Wednesday morning. And they would stop and turn, slowing to watch each other go by. They know each other within the context of a universal recognition. They have met before this life. And, they will meet again, in another.
