I posted this over to the writers' board, but I guess they're all really busy and don't have time to respond. Seeing as how you often respond to fanmail, I thought I'd give you a shot. Have you hear about "The New People" tv show? What do you think?

Here's what I wrote to the writers' board:
At dinner the other night, talking about LOST (what else is there to discuss, really?) an older friend of mine said that she though LOST sounded a lot like the old tv show on ABC "The New People." Being of a younger generation, I hadn't heard of it (she, on the other hand, can still sing the theme song).
I Googled it, and really, it is eerily similar. Fans should check this out, especially the episode break-outs:

So far on LOST we've seen the raft, the mysterious illness, entergy fields; the baby and an operation are on the way; there are skeletons, drugs, and separate camps, OH MY! What more will we see? I can't wait! [added in: blood transfusion]
I just wanted to know if any of you (actors, writers, etc) knew about the old show (The New People) and if it has contributed to LOST?
At least we know that our LOST will last more than 1 season, thank goodness.
